Hello, I'm new to the forum. I've lurked from time to time for info.
I have 07 tl type s that I brought a few months ago. Its stock except for 2 things. It has a spacer behind the throttle body & a long tube air intake sys. I'm not happy with air intake sys. It affects low to mid range in bad way. It's great at WOT but I'm not thrilled in the way it responds at low rpm. Also in the winter months [ cold temp] it sets a check engine light.

I posted on the 1st gen cl forum with an idle problem. If anyone can help, many thanks.

Hey Johnny welcome to the forum. What brand cold air intake do you have? Have you read the code for the check engine light yet?

 

Thanks for the welcome. I don't know brand. The codes are 1 lean condition for each bank.

Most members have dyno'd the throttle body spacer and have found out that its a loss of horsepower.

Might wanna try and remove the spacer and see if that helps your mid range.

 

Part it out- list it in the Black Market to trade with another member for their stock intake. You'll probably get a few takers.

I've posted local ads on Craigs list and have had takers but when these guys show up either parts missing or broken. But I'd give a shot here!
