Hello everyone well im a newb to TL's. Im in the market for one and have just recently started searching, before wanting a TL i was after an Evo, but then found out about the poor sound deadening and decided i was not going to spend a lot on a car that i will have to listen to all the wind outside(how my current car is). So im in search of a 6spd 04-^ with black interior and pretty much any color. Its been really hard to find a 6spd and even harder to find black interior. Well im hoping to learn a lot from here and hopefully contribute if possible.... Any words of advice for me?? O and here are some pics of my current car

Really? I have been searching for TL's and most of them seem to be on the West or East coast. Autotrader usually has a good listing of them.

 

i've found a few TL's but not 6spds and the 1 i found was blue with the tan interior. not really what im looking for

 

Yea 6spds are pretty hard to find cause most people want autos. Just keep searchin and you'll definetely find the right one. The good thing about 6spds though is that it's cheaper than the 5AT's haha. And you'll learn a crap load just by browsing/searching through the forums. Definetely helped me


Oh and were you on socal evo? I think I've seen that car somewhere before lol.

17k 55kmiles the interior is hella unique, i know its not black but yea just throwing it out there. although it is salvaged..

 

well welcome to the board, and good luck on your search.... try autotrader, carmax, even check ur local acura dealer or dealers in/around your area....

 

i just test drove an 08 a few hours ago and i like it, really comfortable, and smooth and a lot of interior space... but it was an auto and had tan interior... they were asking 28k it only had 5k miles... but im gonna keep looking i just want a 6spd, black interior and navi(aspec kit would be nice too, but i can add that) exterior color really don't matter to me right now

A salvage 04 for $17K? Oh wait - ad says it's a 2004 ASPEC "Type S" with $5000 Aspec package and doesn't even have aspec wheels??

 

and they didn't have a type-s that year.. lol.. I have type-s Tails and sides and an ASPEC front lip.. i'll sell ya mine for 13k.. black on black.. not MT though.

 

thats what i thought too when i saw the type-s, i didn't think they had it then either... but yea i wont buy another salvage car, bought one once and wont go back regardless the damage cause you never really know how bad it is until you've had for a while and the new parts start to go bad cause the car is out of wack...

hey i've been searching, not sure if im doing it right, but whats the problems with the auto trannies?? i know i've read that its common for them to go out but why??

hey everyone so now im reading a lil more on the auto tl's and is the problems with the trannies only with the early 04's?? would 05's have the same problems?? if not then i wouldn't mind gettin an auto, i just wanna make sure im not gonna have issues. im not really wanting it for the sport shift i prolly would hardly ever use it, i just want to make sure its gonna be reliable.

 

OMG it has Camel interior!!!!! Texas sucks! I've been looking for camel interior in white or black but I have only found that the Red and Dark Grey TL's have it.

 

i've noticed this too in my search for a TL.....very few have black interior....makes me wonder if people have taste these days

 

you know what though the tan interior isn't too bad i kinda liked it but just can't see myself in tan interior and the grey is kinda pushin it

 

gl on your search. it took me couple months to find a blk/blk 6-speed but for while thought i'd never find one with decent mileage.

 

Salvage for 17K = No Good, To much money for a salvage car!
