Hey guys,

I am brand new, in fact, I am picking up my car next week. I just bout a blue abyss 2004 TL 6 speed MT. No navi

Are there any hints, tricks, or mods that I should do. I'm 19 buying this car, so for the first 6 or 7 months money will be tight while I get half paid for, then I'm just financing the rest for credit.

After that time, is there anything you guys would reccomend? I'm coming from a Chevy Cavalier... so this is a big step up LOL.

Thanks all!

Ryan

Oh Thanks for the tip!

sorry about the double post!

Now, is the interrior color carmel or camel? ive heard both lol

I didnt get the navi because it was too expensive, and id have to wait. I coulda gotten a cl with a navi for the same price, but that would have gotten me in trouble... very very fast.

You submitted a Bad Post Report for this post https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...70#post1657670 which said the following:
Hi, I just got my car yesterday (04 TL).

I see from your sig you have a lot of upgrades. If you don't mind me asking, howm uch did you spend on them? I am looking to modify my car in the future.
I think you hit the wrong button. If you want information from another member, send them a PM (which you will be able to do tomorrow) or post in the thread.

The window sticker that came on my car says camel so that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Now, I do know that the all weather mats are called caramel.

ABP on Camel.... ! Way to go.
6MT with no Nav...again, Way to go.

Everyone that has seen my 6MT w/o Nav has commented "an MT like this is a Driver's Car. Why bother with nav?"

Honestly it's a personal choice. I see little need for nav given my driving patterns. If I traveled a lot with the car I guess I might feel different about it. I've never regretted not getting nav in my TL but I think I would get it in the next "family car" that would be used for road trips, vacations, etc.

There are a few ways to go for the DVD-Audio....
1) Buy commercially made DVD-A discs. They are 6 channel surround sound and some of them are really cool.
2) Use my GUI and your burner to create DVD-A disks that are just stereo but contain lots more songs than fit on a CD.
3) Try Cirlinca DVD Audio Solo. It will let you rip CDs or convert mp3s to DVD-A disks. It will also allow you to make your own 6 channel disks but that is more involved since you need to come up with the 6 channel source material on your own.

If you decide to make your own know that DVD-R media has been most successful for us. DVD+R has been very problematic.

Read up over in the Audio section of the forum. That will keep you busy enough that the time will fly by while you wait for the car.
