Most of the time the cost is the same...

5AT don't get a discount for not having Brembo brakes nor limited slip differentials...
the numbers all works out in the end.
(you get a more expensive gear box on the other hand)

I'm not believing the gist of this conversation. It's not about 5AT/6MT, it's about the custom pedals for the TL. Supercomputers is working his ass in putting together a group buy for the members of this forum. The cost to the members is really good and we need to support his efforts. Either make a purchase cause you like the design or don't if you think you're gettin the short end of the stick. FYI, visit the Ultimate Pedals site, the brake pedal (AT) is the same cost of clutch/brake pedal.

I bought what looks to be identical to the AMG ones for my CLK55. They were VERY nice and solid. To install I had to remove the old rubber form the mfg pedals (easy) and then simply screwed the new ones directly into the metal pedals. It took about 15 minutes including drilling the small pilot holes. I only paid about $65 for them though so it looks like we are absorbing a LOT of mark up to get these created ($50 each). I'm on the fence but would probably buy a set if you need me to make the group buy a round figure.

I like the general design. I will want to see the final prototype. Will "ACURA" be the only logo or "TL" or "ACURA TL"? Id the black logo/test rubberized or paint?

Question Rubber strips replaceable

Are the rubber strips on the pedals replaceable or are we looking at a new set of pedals in a couple years ?

If they can be replaced how will we get spares ?

Sorry Guys for the delay but here is your update,

Test pedals were installed and we ran in to some issues, We want to make these perfect so a few tweaks are being made and I should now have the new test pedals in a week or so, Once the changes are confirmed we will start the process and get the group buy going. We want the product to be 100% perfect and a class act, Sorry for the delay but it had to be done,

All members who purchased my Door sills will be getting a special price on the pedals. All others will also be getting a very good Group Buy Price.

As per the forum request we will have 2 diffrent versions, ACURA Pedals and A-SPEC Pedals and Yes they will be Avaliable for 6spds also.

Stay Tunned and thanks all of you for your support,

There are still door sills in stock so if you intrested let me know I can ship them out the same day you order.

Thanks
Dave

Sounds great! If any delays need to be made due to quality issues then it's always a worthwhile one. Count me in on this!!!

Could you post pics of the ones you have ... so we can get an idea of what they will look like?

Waiting is not a problem for me ... as long as the quality is improving. I want to see pics ... so I can decide if I want them or not.

If it is not too late, I am in, as well - i.e. as long as the price stays the same.

These look really cool!!

Any group buy as of yet? If there is a group buy section I couldn't find it.

Anyway, I love those pedals...think they look great. Just bought an 05 6mt TL and this was one of my 1st searches. I loved the pedals in my 02 IS300 that I switched from.

So give me an update if ya can or point me to the group buy section. Thanks.

Guys we needed to get the molds re-done to get a better fit, I did not like the proto types. The new Pedals should be here any day, I have been waiting almost 2 months now. Getting new tooling is so time sensative. Group buy will be starting as soon as I can confirm the product is 100%

Thanks for all your support.

PS I Still have door sills for sale on the 2004+ Tl and the 99-2003 TL we can ship out asap. Help spread the word.

Thanks

Door SIlls are 159.95 for the 99-03 TL
and they are 149.95 for the 2004+ TL Both prices are delivered to members of the forum

Also Sills come with a 1 year warranty and a 30 Day Customer Satisfaction Policy.

Pedals needed to be re developed we did not like what we first had, the fit was a bit off and we want this to be perfect. The look was incredible see the pictures that are lingering they look identical. Should have the final production soon and group buy will be posted. Thanks for all the continued support.
