Thumbs up New Update on Acura Tl Race Pedals

Ok Guys Proto type will be done in 2 weeks for test fitting. They will 100% work with our pedal design. The maker is going to cut them to the exact specs of our pedals.

The pedals will look 100% like the picture below only it will say Acura. The pedals are top quality that they use in Mercedes AMG department. They are non slip and the black you see is rubber that comes up threw the peddle to hold traction. The rest of the redal is stainless steel.

I would need 35 orders to go ahead with the project the retail delivered price to your door would be 119.00.

After we confirm a fitment with the test pedals I can have them ready to go by the beging of May.

I think they look hot let me know all your thoughts if I can get 35 people we will start a group buy,

Get me some feedback guys.

Thanks
Dave

Is it just me or does the brake pedal look a little big? I assume the pedals in the picture aren't the size of the pedals for the TL right?

No guys these are just a sample of the quality and the overall look. Our pedals will be cut 100% to spec on our cars so they will not have the same size as these but they will have the same style.

Dave, one more question ..... because of their size, will the clutch/brake pedal have the rubber inserts (non-slip factor)? And the mounting hardwarer is included, right? Will you have pix of the prototype?

I would invest that kind of money for pedals that say A-SPEC. Without A-SPEC I don't think i'll be involved this time. Sorry.

J Ride 81, I have an a-spec too and I want to get it done that way also but as far as cost goes I cant make it cost effective. I will see what I can do about getting a small batch of sills and pedals done in aspec and selling the sills and pedals as a package at a litte higher price to eat up some of the cost. I might be able to get it created then,

here's one...

what kind of drilling, etc. will need to be done to fit these puppies in?

If they are done to spec, then I'm in... and maybe go after some of those door sills as well (BTW: did you ever post some actual installation pics on those?)

Door sill install pics are up go to the group buy section. The group Buy is almost over better jump in over there,

The pedals should be a pretty easy and with me it must always be clean. I should here back from the maker with exact install specs soon. We will draw up directions for this item too.

No Sup... I mean pics of how you installed them, not after they were installed (good pics though).

I just want to know if installation involved any drilling

Yoda as far as the sills go no drilling what so ever, The line runs under the weather stripping, Take a look at your car the weather stripping pulls right up, "Its removable" Then the sill pulls right off, You put the cover on run the line and put the weather stripping back on. Call me to discuss further if you are unsure.

Dave

PS

Proto type pictures of the pedals will go up once they come in, I can only produce them if I get atleast 35 orders.

I like the look of these pedals and I'll commit if they fit the TL pedal design - including the gas pedal which has that funky angle. Also, what about the hardware and installation info? Included?

Can't wait to see the protos...

Thanks Guys once the proto is in and all check out we will start the group buy. As long as I have 35 orders we will do it. Again we will give this item the same customer policy, If you dont like it send it back in like new condition, This way you can try them out. Stay tuned for the group buy in about 2 weeks when I get the final proto and test fit them and check them for quality.

Thanks
Dave

I already have the Ultimate Pedal set, but I would certainly consider these depending on how the prototypes look.

Do these pedals use the screws to hold them in place (I like this),
or does it have those little arms and springs that clip to the existing pedal ?

Good question NOX. Put me in for a set, just as long they don't go over the exisiting pedals. Also good find Supercomputers, these are the style that i've been looking for. Ultimate pedals is just plain UGLY !

OK Guys we are going to go forward with this project. Stay tuned for updates, After getting off the phone this morning with the maker I might be able to have a final result in hand soon. These pedals will screw in like everybody wants, As soon as I get the first proto type we will in stall them and post pics, Stay tuned the feedback has been great.

About the screwing installation... as long as we don't have to actually drill into the support arm (a la ultimate pedals), then count me in.

I'm not big on voiding the warranty on any parts of the car

Dont ya think the 5AT should be less since you are getting less hardware. I like the design but I think us 5AT people should get a discount for not getting as much hardware.

I might be in..

Let me know about the group buy.

Ryan you are right but the 6mt might be a few dollars more but I am going to try and absorb that cost on my end to keep the price the same for all.
