I got the car for a damn good price...I paid sub $24K with the warranty and such...

Car has 40K miles on it and no issues whats so ever...

I also got a 100K mile 7 year bumper to bumper warranty with tire/rim kicker package...

No complaints at all on this car...While I loved my mustang a 4 door car is more practical for me...Plus I pocketed over $10K on the sell of my car...

So far I love this car...Its fun to drive...It rides good...Its alot of fun...Now to figure out how to work all the buttons and such...First goal is to get the bluetooth to sync with my droid...

I am a tech nerd by trade...I was in the USAF at Langley AFB, VA from 2003 - 2007 and Reserve from 2007 - 2011...Now I work for the Army as a Network Administrator / System Administrator...

Look forward to learning all I can about my new car...

Thanks
Chris

Welcome to AcuraZine! There's a huge amount of info here, I think you'll enjoy your stay.

Nice Mustang. I've never been a huge fan of that generation, but your car is making me reconsider. Looks like a very well-kept example.

I bet you're taking quite the hits from ModdedMustang about selling your car for a FWD Honda, haha. Did you get the AT or MT?

Take a look around the site, there's a heck of a lot more to AZ than Acuras. Sounds like you might be interested in the Wash & Wax section as well.

Welcome and congrats Chris!

I've never been a huge Mustang fan but your's is cleanly executed. There are a few members here with modded Mustangs and I believe one or two have GT500s. You can always venture into "Car Talk" to see what other cars people have.

Any reason why you gave up the Mustang for the TL-S? Needed the extra doors?

Any plans for the TL-S? Since you're not new to the car forum scene you know your wallet is going to become light.

I got the auto...I like it though...I couldnt find a MT anywhere within 250 miles so I went with what I knew I wanted...

Eh the power is missed but the mustang was just a brute...The TLS seems lot more refined and just as fun to drive...

I have a 2 year old son and getting him and out of the car was starting to get troublesome...I work the Army so I do some traveling from time to time and would like to be able to take my own car rather then getting a rental...

Nothing is really on the list for the car other then getting the windows tinted and driving it...The car has a nice warranty on it as it is a Certified Pre-Owned and I would rather not void it right off the bat like I did the mustang...

The ModdedMustang community is actually easy going and they know that I have owned 7 or so mustangs and will pick up a toy in the next 3 years...Probably another fox with a mod mill...

I am going to have to check out the detailing section...

I hear you man, family first! I've been considering getting rid of the TL for a S2000 but I can't give up my backseats, and I don't even have kids!

And thank you for your service

Well I have done everything I wanted with the mustang and I was bored...I have a 2 year old son and plan on adding another child to the family next year and the mustang just wasn't fun for that...I was daily driving the jeep (07 Jeep GC Limited) and the mustang sat in the garage for 9 Months without being drove...So I said screw it...I put an outlandish price on it and a guy from the Navy called and gave me my full asking price...Had the mustang for 7 years and I was just tired of it...I also travel alot for the Army so I need something that I can hop in and drive 500 miles and not have to worry about shredding a belt ETC...

Welcome to Azine!

Your old Mustang is awesome

Congrats on the Type S, I have AT as well (wanted an MT but had the same problem finding one when I wanted to buy). You tried the paddle shifters/manual automatic mode?

Personally I don't like the paddle shifters but using the hand shifter is kinda liking using a manual

Naw man, this guy just obviously loves cars. It isn't like you have to choose sides, Domestic or Import. You can just like cars in general.

I have had 7 Mustangs, 3 Transams, 2 Camaros, and 2 Thunderchickens...

I like to change them out after I get bored with them...I have had everything from notchbacks, turbo coupes, elans to LX's and GT's...

Wow! I just registered on Moddedmustangs a couple weeks ago, because I picked up an 01 Cobra. I LOVE my 07 TL-S but this is my 3rd Mustang. The only reason I let the other two go, is due to deployments in the Army. Needless to say I'm keeping both my babies now...LOL. Your Mustang and TL-S looks great!! Below is a link for DIY's/FAQ's about our 3G TL! Shoot me a pm, if you have any questions about your new ride! I think I may shoot you a couple about my ride!

FAQ for 3G TL Newbies.....

Congrats on the TL-S and welcome to AZ! Nice to see another mod join from another forum. I'm sure you'll be a great contributor to this one as well. You may want to register her at www.myacura.com. Save your Navi and Radio codes there for safe keeping. Again, welcome!!

There is a small card with the Radio/Navi Code located in the owners manual mini binder (usually located in the glovebox). I've reset mine a few times doing a few bolt on mods and installing a dvd player. I've also saved mine in my cell phone.

You should be able to find them on a card in the owners manual or on a sticker on the side of your glove box after you open it. If you can't find it, call your dealer and give them your VIN. They should be able to look it up for you. You'll need those if you ever lose power to the Navi or Radio to log back into them. It's a theft deterant.
