Some of you guys...all cars have issues, I promise. Had a 350Z that are notorious for the window regulator failure. I replaced 2. It handled better than my TL, duh. It is a sports car, the TL is a sports sedan. Bigger and heavier. The better you treat a car the better it will treat you.

What are best ways to maintain the clutch? the 3rd gear grind is almost impossible to prevent from happening .. on occasion. however, my 3rd gear does not pop out like some have reported.

Aside from the timing belt which wont be due for quite some time for me, i want to know if a worn-out clutch can be expected as part of my maintenance cycle till my target range of 125000miles.
Do the slave cylinder valve delete. If your 3rd gear grinds, change your manual trans fluid.

Agreed, all cars have issues no matter what the make while some being bigger than others. If you sit down an take the time to research these issues, you can thus prevent or prolong some of them which will save you headaches and money.

btw, this car handles decent for ITS CLASS, although i do find it to be very heavy. I zip around in my 350z hitting 90 degree green light turns at 35+mph with zero body roll. My TL-S feels like a tank compared to my Z.

I know this thread is old as dirt, but after having my car for almost 4 years I still love this thing like day one. I drive newer cars all the time and still it doesn't satisfy me like my TL. It just is an all around excellent car. Really happy with it.
