New TL or RDX, can't decide.

I'd like to replace my 02' TL type S in the near future. Love my type S but I'm just ready for a new ride. Taken 2 RDX test drives and I like it quite a bit. I defenitely feel the turbo lag but it has fairly good power overall. But I also really like the newer generation TL. I think it has a nicer interior than the RDX and, other than the 4 wheel drive capabilities, it posesses better overall performance with better fuel economy and is less expensive to boot. Logic says to go with the TL but I also think I would like to drive something a little different for a change. What do you think ?

Where do you live? If we lived in Cali I'd be telling my mother to get an TL-S, not an RDX, but with the snow one AWD vehicle is important.

I'm in upstate NY so lots of snow. I always run Winter Blizzaks all around but I may be able to forgo them with the RDX at least for the 1st Winter.

That is tough. I saw an RDX in person today and I'd have to say...nice ride.

If you don't want a MT, then go to RDX. As always, if you need MT (like many of us) you can only go for the TL

why get an RDX (1st generation=lots of problem)...for $29K you can get an 06 TL auto/navi or a base 06MDX or if want to upgrade to a fully loaded MDX with Navi and DVD system for $33k...peace

The RDX and 06 MDX are 1st gens so they will be prone to more porblems. Many ppl on the boards have a 3G TL in snowy places and they love it. (also the TL has a bit more modding capibilites)

If you have gotten along w/o AWD for the past 4 years, do you really need it? Same question about an SUV. Unless you just gotta have those things why not stick with a TL?

TL or RDX? What type of question is that?

Let me remind you what the RDX looks like,

Ok, so it's not all strictly base on looks, but given the price of the two, the TL is a way better deal! Oh, did I mention how grotesque the RDX looks?

Unless you have to, I'd prefer the TL. I mean....an SUV or cross over, or whatever you call it, is still the 21st century version of a station wagon.

TL

I'm biased, I hate Honda going the SUV route.

I was considering a new RDX for my wife. But the mileage reports just aren't good. Her Aviator is bigger, AWD, MUCH more power, and gets better mileage than just about everything I'm reading on the new RDX. Seems the RDX must need to be in boost a lot...thus the poorer mileage. For now, I'll keep her Aviator. Darn thing has 40K, runs like a dream, not a rattle in it, and even has cooled seats.
