New TL Owner Questions

I just picked up a 2007 TL type S 6MT a couple of weeks ago. I have a few small issues and I am wondering if they are normal.

1. Just curious but has anyone had either of their side view mirrors get a discolored look at the bottom like water got underneath? I saw this on 2 other TL's I test drove and thought it was strange. I will probably replace the mirror.

2. I was happy to see that the rear brakes have a second drum brake for the parking brake unfortunately when I set the brake I can rock the car almost like an automatic in Park. There is like 3 or 4 inches of play with the parking brake. Any ideas? Anyone's TL like this?

3. I have a really rough idle around 1100 to 1500 RPMs and I have seen a lot of people talk about the cold idle roughness but this will happen if the car has completely warmed up. Around 1200 RPMs it is really rough. The car has 75k on it and I was going to start with the plugs they are original any other ideas? Is this normal? Should I just live with it?

1) That means the heaters were left on, you'll need new glass.

2) You can adjust the handbrake on the brake itself and adjust how hard you have to pull the lever for it to lock.

3) Usually it will run rough if it's cold, after it warms up it will be fine. You might want to get it looked at.

And welcome to the forums!

When RPM is raised to @1200 it won't run smooth, perfectly normal, same as fast idle when cold.

Congrats Welcome to AZ! Check out the 3G garage for tons of info. Also register your TL at www.myacura.com in the USA or https://www.myacura.acura.ca/ in Canada. Save your Navi and Radio codes there. Check for any recalls your TL may need.

Nope, it stays on until you push the button off.

I wanna say the seat header in low stays on and in high goes on and off, then back on. It's alternates.

Yeah the heated mirrors will stay on, be sure to keep an eye on them. I use them for about 5-10 mins to get the morning dew off them, then I turn them off.

I hate the ones that turn of by itself...well here in Boston.

In the mornings 8-10 F, you remote start the car, you go in after 15-20 min...mirrors are still frozon.
