Hey guys, took delivery today of my new 2006 TL. This is the forum I hear about from TL guys so I had to sign up. I purchased a 6 speed with navi, silver with quartz interior. I waited to see the 2007 type-s, but decided on the '06 because it's a little less flashy. A little about myself, I traded my 2002 RSX-S that I bought new and put 46k on it with no problems, but I'm older now (36) and felt I needed a "grown up" car. I'm also an A.S.E. master tech and a tech at Elite Acura in Maple Shade N.J. (formerly Marty Sussman Acura) for over 6 years now, so hopefully I can assist when possible.

tidus888: what do you mean by "things", I hope to keep all aware of service bulletins and the like, but I'm not going to post the bulletin itself there's probably copyright issues I'd rather not get involved in.
Salut: I drove the auto type s, very nice, no six speeds at the dealer yet, and it's a very noticable power difference. I just like the '04-'06 better.
King of Pain: Plans are some Acura options for now. Music link, carbon steering wheel, 18" wheels, deck spoiler. Plus some navi hacks (found here), rear camera, and our dealer has a comptech account so definately the exhaust and my friend who has a supercharged s2000 I put together is pushing me towards the supercharger but that will have to wait a bit.

 

Almost forgot, first thing is to put my K40 in.

I haven't heard anything good about the musiclink either, I was tempted on getting it for my si but the price and lack of features for the price wasn't worth it IMO....

Day two and all I can say is I love this car. I've driven customer's cars with the 6mt before I got mine and I thought the clutch was a little funny, but I'm getting used to it. It also takes a different driving style to accelerate and shift fast, a little more finesse is needed, you can't just slam gears like my RSX.

 

I just picked up my TLS today at 2:30pm. I traded in my 2005 tl w/nav, I was kind of sick leaving my Vanessa (tl) there at the dealer. I could not enjoy my new car due to the fact it is raining like cats and dogs in New York. When I picked up my new car I had 6 miles on it, after I checked everything over, I took my tls over to Sam's Tinting. I put 20% on the car. I just took off my 19 inch TSW thruxston rims for the winter, can't wait to the spring time. Right now I have 26 miles on it. I noticed the steering is a little bit tighter, the suspension and I really enjoy the paddle shifters. Well tomorrow it will be 68 degrees, I will be out tomorrow shining and trying to enjoy my new ride. The car is a step up from 2005 Tl w/navi. Take care everyone!! Awesome awesome car!!! I couldnt take it out on a spin much, still drove around 100miles yesterday.
