You can turn that off. It's determined by where the side mirror selector is set to. Put in the middle, i.e. not select a mirror, and they won't do that. If you want to use this feature, just leave the switch on the mirror you want to use for "helping" you back up.

Haha, the first time that happened I was pissed. I thought my mirror was glitched!

I have it off now. Sometimes I turn it on to see a curb.

No question is dumb here. We're all here to help you, just if you're not sure about something use the search feature it's your friend. You will be amazed at what you will find on the previous threads. If you ever need help with something just check the DIY threads and you'll find what your looking for. The tilt mirror option is great when you are trying to park close the curbs, then again curb rash on those might make them look better. Ha.Ha. Very nice condition though, only thing you could have done better would have been to buy NBP!

Welcome to the board. Your WDP is looking really good. I think clearing the headlights is must. ((Only my opinion though))

haha NBP is nice but actually i traded in a black car and keeping that thing clean was wearing me out! but hmm does anyone know why my mirror always adjusts to passenger 2 settings? i dont want them to move at all...everytime i enter my car it just goes to driver 2 settings, how do i keep all my settings like my side rearview mirrors from moving....

The memory settings are linked to the remote you use to unlock the doors. Look on the back of your remotes, one should say "Memory 1" and the other should say "Memory 2"..

Go on craigslist.org, I've seen them classified for pretty cheap. Like $250, at least in my area.

You can order a key from dealership but they are costly. To turn off your mirror ,all you have to do is set to the middle. YOu know the side mirror adjust? I actually like it cuz It helps me see the curb.
