Wow, this is weird! I was thinking the same thing today. Maybe it's the "edgy" styling that Acura is currently pursuing..........who knows. Seems like their direction was a Pontiac exterior with a Lexus interior. :p

So glad I have the 03'
I drove my mothers Audi A6 Quattro today and my TL blows it away. Better ride, her ugly red interior lights are disgusting. I was complaining on Saturday about the TL and I should have waited 6 months and bought the 04'. I am glad I didnt, wouldnt want others to think I paid 35k for a pontiac.

Hey Rover Hater, have you seen the 04 TL in person?
Those are some harsh words to such a nice car, It so technologically advanced and the interior and gauges are better than some High Priced Cars..

Iam just judging from my impressions of the commercial. The commercial was made with the intentention of selling the car wasnt it? The part right before going over the bridge looks exactly like a Pontiac.

Alas Rover Hater makes a point that Acura still has no styling presence, thus the big arse ACURA on the front bumper to let you know what it is. I dunno about the Ponitac thing, the new BMWS look like Pontiacs a lil not sure of the new TL.
i've been saying it for months!

You guys do know, that Acura had There name on the Rear of the Integra before, and Mustang does something similar..

Good line actually; but I am still buying the car.
My girlfriend has a Z-4 and think the new BMW 5 series looks like a four door Z-4 on steriods; I like the look but I don't think it is worth the money. Of course I might just say that since I can't afford one.............

There is a vague resemblance to the Pontiac Grand Am, but the Acura looks much, much better. It really looks good. The basic problem with all the Acuras for most of their existence has been styling. The 2nd generation looked very much like an Accord. This car tries hard to break with that past. It largely succeeds. However, if you want outstanding styling, then go with the BMW. One of the great things about an Acura is that you get so much more for so much less than with a BMW. And you get an extremely reliable car.

To me the 04 TL looks alot like the current 00-03 Mistu Galant, I did a split screen and they look alot alike from amny angles especially the back.

totally true on the bimmer. they have given the new bimmers the z-roadster ground effects and headlight assembly!
