Talking New TL

Well, a little late on the post but picked up a TL Black on Ebony w/ navi right before Memorial Day weekend. I would've posted earlier but spent pretty much the whole time either driving it or reading up on the think manual on how to operate the car!!!!

Well, a little late on the post but picked up a TL Black on Ebony w/ navi right before Memorial Day weekend. I would've posted earlier but spent pretty much the whole time either driving it or reading up on the think manual on how to operate the car!!!!

2 Questions:

1) The customer rep that explained the car to me told me to use only 5w20 oil for changes and never to use synthetic? That's got to be the first time I ever heard someone tell me to NOT use synthetic. Anyone used synthetic in their cars and anyone have an idea why he would say that to me?

2) Not that I am going to use any gas lower then 91 octane but can this car use something less then 91 without damaging the car!

I picked up my NBP/Ebony on that saturday of memorial weekend holiday also! The salesguy told me I could use medium grade........... but I'm not about to risk my car's health over 10-20 cents extra per gallon. PREMIUM FTW!

Congrats on the new car and using synthetic is perfectly fine. Just do a search on synthetic oil and you'll get lots of thread regarding this. You can also find topics referring to grades of fuel as well in the search.
