New Tires - Suggestions

Well,

My car goes in tomorrow for the vibration problem (not caused by my tranny or flat spots) at highway speeds, most notably above 70-75 mph getting dangerous. Feels like my tires are messed up.

I'm prepping for a new set in case I don't get the problem resolved, and I don't want to wait for Acura to get their head out of their asses to fix this problem..

Our OEM Turanza EL42s are getting some of the worst reviews on Tirerack. I would keep them if it weren't for the vibration issue. So, I'm going to at least prepare for new tires, and wanted to get some feedback

Anyone who has replaced their tires, can you please offer up your experiences based on how they are with the 04 TL. Maybe this can STICKY if we get enough good tire info here.

I'm looking hard at the: Continental ContiExtremeContact (Ultra High Performance All-Season) 235/45-17.

They are getting excellent reviews. If anyone has run on these tires, please offer up an opinion on them too.

Thanks,

Ryan

Also consider the Pirelli Pzero nero M&S. At least one of our members has put them on and says they are much better than the stock tires. (Check the other posts here relating to tires.) Also look at the tirerack test of the latest all season tires.

I also am very disapointed with the EL42s on my 6MT, so... I ordered a set ot Potenza S-03s from my local Bridgestone dealer. They arrived today and I will be having them installed Thursday. I think almost any tire will performe better than the OEM choice. I like the S-03 because of past performance on my Integra, but I've heard that the RE-750s are vry good as well. Just do your homework because the tire is the most important element in your cars safety and performance. DON'T SKIMP ON TIRES! Your life might depend on them. When I get the S-03s installed I'll let everyone know how they are. Happy driving to all!
