New Rear Lights?

Hello,
I own a 2008 TL and I was involved in a minor fender bender this morning in which I was rear ended. The only damage to the car (that I could see) was that the red plastic plates for the rear turn signals were knocked out of place-you can see the white light shining through the top. Can the lights just be taken out and the plastic pieces be snapped back into place or will the entire section of lights on both sides have to be replaced? I wanted to post a picture, but apparently you can do that in this forum.

Once we see pictures, we can comment more. But usually if there was enough movement to crack the tail lights, then there is probably damage to the bumper infrastructure hidden by the bumper cover.

Ok, here is the link for the picture-you have to look closely.
http://i1054.photobucket.com/albums/...8/CarLight.png I don't know that the light is cracked. When I went out and looked at it again, it really looks like that red plastic plate is supposed to snap into something and that the impact caused it to come out of place. But perhaps it is indeed cracked.

I actually had this happen to a pair of lights I bought off a member during shipping.

I used a bent flathead screwdriver with a sock taped to it to keep from scratching and reached in from behind (with light OFF the car) to click it back into place. Be careful not to scratch the chrome reflector.

There is no other way to fix it without cutting the lights open. In which case, if you were planning to have them modded, don't bother fixing it and send them to Ack05TL or JNC and have them modified and they'll click it back into place.

J.
