New Purchase advice

Good morning everyone,

Tomorrow I will be making a 6 hour road trip to buy my first TL Type-S. Its a 2007 with 6spd manual transmission, and I know very little about these cars. I've looked up common problems and stuff like that on the internet, but does anyone have any other suggestions for me to look at? I'm a little embarrassed about the purchase price because looking at the forums and sale pages its hit or miss, but this is something that I'm willing to spend on it, so I won't put mention that on here just yet, LOL.

It has a clean car fax, lived most of its life in IL (so i'll be looking for rust) and currently sitting in NC.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advanced!

I had some delay in my 06 TL 3.2 Base AT. Not sure if that will be relevant though with looking at the 6 spd MT.

Otherwise my only other complaints were cosmetic. Dash cracks, Honda rust in the quarter well.

Best of luck! Loved my TL every day I owned it!
