Sorry, I have one other question I forgot to ask in my original post - is the original powertrain warranty still valid? Or any other warranties? And if so, does it carry over to a new owner? Is there an Acura extended warranty I should consider if one is available? And with all the TSB's listed, does the dealer take care of these if necessary, even if the car is outside the warranty period?

warranty follows the car till its expiration limits years/miles since first date sold
Acura can give you that -register as new owner 1-800-382-2238x5

if dealer sale they can CPO certify the car and add warranty length to powertrain- expect 1000-1500$ increase over other cars not certified- all it means is an inspection and warranty- does not mean perfect maitenance log or never been hurt--

You can also go to the dealer with a car and ask for it to be certified/buy the warranty from them

TSB is not a recall or warranty- its Technical Service Bulletins distributed to the dealers when one finds a strange problem and solution- to save other shops time!
Some do lead to a warranty fix, but they are not mandatory `fixes`

only RECALL are mandatory and FREE whoever owns the car - doesnt matter years or miles or 10 owners- they are safety issues and thats why a recall (govt involved in tracking)
there are 3-5 on the TL, bum power steering hose fitting can cause a fire!- window wiper motor fails---

acura 800 or your dealer can run the cars VIN and tell you if all are completed or to bring it in for them- totally free/no charges to you on recalls

They try to give a loaner car to you when possible -go in midweek wed/thur for better chance of that available.
always make an appt!!- go meet the Service MANAGER and your Service Writer ahead of time, the manager is who gets out of warranty freebie fixes for you thru Goodwill warranty

CPO cars have the recalls completed before offered for sale

many of the TSB have to do with noises- ck the Garage section here for DIYs even the dealer hasnt thought of to fix them- expanding foam and soft foam are great tools to have around

any acura you like- call the 800 and say -`requesting prebuy history ck`- number of owners (not their names just the city/state)- cities registered in, warranty items done, recall items open or done. You can eleminate a lot of cars from their background
