New NBP TL-S
I bought a new NBP TL-S about 2 weeks ago. Put around 2100 miles on it so far... Love the car. I have a rattle in the vent to the left of the steering wheel though. It is driving me crazy. The only other complaint that i have is the dead petal. You would think Acura could cough up a petal that matches the other two for a 35k car. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself to the forum...
Anyone else in Rochester NY?

Welcome! hope you enjoy the forum.
You have a dead pedal? It's an automatic?

brings joy to my eyes I see a just bought an nbp tl atleast twice a week lol
ps. welcome, you will find everything you need, if you would like to replace that rubber pedal with one that matches the other 2 you'd have to buy the 3 pack, not sold individually, and I do agree, it would've cost $20 for them to just include it, as for the ratle the mod linked you to the quick fix

yea, i drive about 1000 miles per week for work every week.
Which reminds me my oil life is still 80% after 2100 mi... im sure that as the oil deteriorates it will deteriorate at a faster rate but at the current pace I would go 7 or 8k miles without an oil change...
What do you guys usually do in miles before your oil life gets to 10-15% ?
I have also been going really easy on the car to break it in. The manual said that the break in period was only 600 miles... that doesnt seem like enough.

Congrats on your new purchase!
I am from Buffalo, but live in Atlanta. Love the WNY area. I am having a rattle in my rear deck fixed today (07 TL-S). Have an RDX loaner, very fun car to drive, but the 4cyl turbo is a little loud and not as smooth as our v-6.

Yea- WNY is a nice place to live. I spend a lot of my work time in Buff.
This week was really cold and it seems like a new rattle has come up every day. Its alot more obnoxious than i thought it would be...
I am going to have to bring it to the dealer and have them fix a few including the rear deck...
Enjoy the Atlanta weather...

i got my first rattle today..it sounded like its the passenger side vent. im assuming its the same fix?
also i just noticed this, but how much spacing do you guys have between the front passenger side door and dash..i can stick my entire finger in there, while on the drivers side there is a much smaller gap.
^^this is the space im talking about..and the same thing but on the front passenger side..
sorry not trying to hijack ur thread..

08 TL Type S A-Spec
Schill38, I agree with you!! 2008 CBP Type S is what I am driving. It was a tough decision between NBP, DWP or Kinetic Blue........but CBP is just sooooo different vs every other paint color out there!! Plus it looks the best with the stock Type S wheels, IMO.
**Anyways.........yeah, the dead pedal looks like crap with the other 2 pedals having the cool alluminum/rubber.......c'mon Acura!!! Seriously!!!
Sorry about the Patriots, tho. I am a BIG fan, too. 18-1 aint bad, but 19-0 would have better a LOT better.........sucks. Tom Brady 4 President, bro!!

well i seen some pedals on ebay for like $60, I hit the seller up he said that if I were to by the set and just install the dead pedal it won't match, his entire set looks boogy so I ain't going to get it
then there are the pedals excelerate sells, I would get them except they say "acura" on them
I pm'd ua6spec to see if he would make some carbon fiber race pedals, no idea if he listned :'(

Haha- That is funny because i was looking at that space this weekend.. what the hell>? I have noticed alot of the interior lines dont really line up the way i think they were intended to on paper. Oh well, im not trying to rip the car, i love it.
Im sure i could find issues with any car i was driving
