Hi All--just purchased a '08 TL, Navi, Carbon Bronze/taupe int. Traded in a '07 BMW X3 (did not like the whole SUV experience). Other vehicle is a '03 BMW Z4, 3.0l with a 6 sp manual and Sport package. Tinted the TL's windows 20% all around, Did the mole skin today (easier than I thought) de-badged the trunk lid, deleted and plugged the front plate. Ordered taillight and rear side marker and front headlight sidemarker overlays from bluebatmobile. As soon as I get around to installing the overlays I will post pics--first I got to figure out how to do that!
Gots lots of info from here--great forum. Likeing the TL--its fun to drive and comfortable--when I need to really have fun I jump in the Z4 and take it out for a Spanking. Looking forward to using this forum--

Congrats and welcome! Sounds like you've already got a great start on modding the car the way you like it. Looking forward to the pictures.

Congrats and welcome. Plenty of great help on this forum for whatever you need. TL is a great car and even better when you make it your own with the mods you're doing.

Tintprotector.com----more than enough material and great instructions. I slit the 1" wide material into 1/4" strips and did the upper and lower wipers. It was easy. I did it on a bench--I clamped 2 strips of wood to the bench leaving a gap wide enough to hold the wipestrip secure--that way nothing slides around and you can get the strips on straight. I finished by slipping a 12" steel rule in the gap under the wipes and then run a wallpaper seam roller up and down the newly applied moleskin strip--the adhesive on this stuff is very strong--I stuck a piece to the benchtop and could not remove it without destroying it.
I will take and post pics when I get my overlays on the lights...
