New to me 08 TL Type S

Hi All

I am a long time member, had a new 07 TL Type S CBP in automatic, and a 2012 SHAWD TL Tech in automatic for sometime as well and frequented the forums. Unfortunately wrecked the Type S and purchased the 4G as I was feeling blue about my Type S. Never truly loved that car and eventually got rid of it for a F10 BMW. The Type S always had a special place in my heart and I am fortunate to be able to find an 08 TL Type S in 6 speed manual. Car has about 65000 miles on it and needs a few things to bring it up to my standards and make it my own.

But I am excited to be back in the Acura family and am sure will enjoy this daily driver!

No idea, previous owner didn't know either
To be honest, I am trying to shed all the Aspec stuff to go back to just type S skirts and bumpers

Contrary to most I think its a cleaner look like my 07 Type S

Thanks for the welcome

Wow I'm jealous. I had been looking for a while before getting my 07 and never came across on this clean. Great find!

Ooohhh! It's got the Aspec treatment and black Type S interior!

Wish you the very best with this special example of a 3G

If I want to just remove the lip kit
How difficult is it to do?

And are there multiple drilled holes that are visible?

Thx

There are multiple drill holes (at least 4) in the bumper, even more hole in the rear bumper.

Hmm ok

Yea de aspecing

Im just not a huge fan of how it looks

Love the wheels, but like how the TLS looks without the Aspec stuff

With the holes though, will probably wait for someone who wants to swap with me

Get a body shop quote for new bumpers, paint & install.
Wrap up the old bumpers/skirt and store 'em in your attic.
They're a double-plus-good if you ever sell the car...
OR
Check out a dealer selling an NBP and see if they'd do a deal.
It's a value-add for them.

You noticed the driver's side skirts are stock right?
You're looking at 2/3 of the A-Spec kit if he decides to sell since it's so hard to find just the driver's side... let alone how hard it is to find A-Spec sides these days.

Welcome back OP! I recognized your avatar instantly.

Previous owner did not know what happened to the side skirt, so it is what it is
