I finished my "dome lite" (lol) after work yesterday. These Sharp LED's probably aren't a great choice due to their price. The color however, is great. No tint of yellow or blue. Just pure white.

Nice work! Any reason why you added resistors if you have the voltage regulator and are under powering the series already?

Get some pics up!!!

Thanks! The typical voltage drop of this LED is 3.2V with max of 3.4V. I settled in the middle with 3.3V, so a string of 3 LED's requires 9.9V. The only voltage regulators I keep around are 9V and 12V, so I had to go with 12V and drop the rest of the voltage with a 91 ohm resistor.

Did you make any progress with your interior lighting? I've been looking forward to this big array you're working on.

Looks really good, man.

I am putting my interior LEDs on the backburner for the time being and working on protoyping 2nd Gen TL LED tails. It's essentially an untapped market and I could use the extra cash to wrap up the last mods I want done before the kiddo is born.

So, it's on the backburner - but certainley not dead!

Oh cool, so you're doing "made to order" custom tails.

You might want to include the 1st gen CL and possibly the 2nd gen TSX if these are going to be completely custom. I had a few people interested in my LED tails and there was some discussion in the TSX forum about having custom lights made. I just don't have the time to assemble these even if I had my design duplicated by a PCB fabricator.

Alright-after reading this again, I'm ready for an upgrade for my interior lighting.

But.....

1) do I want red (because of the Type S) or white?
2) if I go with white, I don't want it extremely bright-I just want it whiter than the OEM bulbs. Is there something on the market that will be whiter, not overly bright?

Thanks guys!
