My opinion probably does not matter much considering I do not own the car.

I've test driven the TL with and without Navigation.
I've test driven the BMW 330i, Infiniti G35 coupe, sedan, Nissan Maxima.
I've test driven the Acura RSX and TSX, and found the TL better than all of them for what you pay for it.

You have the car fully loaded right from the start, the most gorgeous interior in any of the choices i've mentioned.. best sound system, and a amazing ride. I don't care what anyone says about the torque steer.. I had no problems driving this car around corners at 30-40 mph.. I tested the car.. I raced against a BMW 330 and a Mercedes and kicked both their arses on the road in tests.

I never had a problem with any of the 4 TL's i've test driven.. I love the car.

hey bro,

considering that this is not a sports sedan, the tl handles well for a FWD, enough hp and torque to zip through streets, stylish and attractive, lots of amenities for the price; handsfree tel, large touch screen navigation (option), leather heated seats, xm radio, dual climate control with a sun radar positioning system??, 8 speaker surround system, DVD-A, steptronic, HID, 17" rims, 6-disc in-dash changer, and sunroof. overall, bang for the buck.

downside, assembled in the USA. (no offense people)
tls do lack the solid build of a car assembled in Japan. you will notice squeaks and rattles and blemishes after a few thousand miles.....

I've had mine for one day now I'm happy. Fow what you pay for the car, its a great deal.
And unlike others, I don't buy "Made in America so its crap" arguement. I've had my 98 CL (made in Ohio) for 140k miles and put a grand total of $350 into it (EGR valve) outside of very reasonable and minimal routine maint. Also, even after 140k miles nothing rattles. Also, millions of rattle-free Accords are running around out there that were also made in Ohio.

That's not to say the TL won't develop rattles, but if it does I highly doubt its a "Made in America" thing.

I think it has been discussed already - for the money, you cannot match this car anywhere. Fact. I knew how much I could spend so I looked at all cars in that price range, equally loaded them with options and not one can come close to the TL for what they throw in. And, as a bonus it is a gorgeous car, sporty and classy enough to cover all age groups - offers a little something for everyone. I have always been a V8 guy - just how I was raised. Give me the big giant V8's. So, when I saw the TL was a V6 (as many cars are now) I was concerned - until I turned the key. It has so much power and feels like no V6, or a hopped up turbo charged V4. It is fast and powerful. It is stunning to look at inside and out. Rides very sporty, yet comfortable inside and can fit a family. I have a 2 year old and everyone was like - getting a mini-van, more kids on the way - better get a mini-van..blah, blah. With the Acura I feel I was still able to get something that reflected me and my personality, but wasn't like the 350Z (a close 2nd place) which I could fit only me inside - no stroller or any of that other stuff.

Yes, there are problems. Many have been addressed. I had the Memory issue - fixed. I had the tire issue - declined fix cause now it is warm out and the tires give me great traction - I love to take corners at 50mph and let her dig in and it does. My Headliner has fallen - I fixed once, but now another part of it is down, so I will have dealer fix so any problems or if it eventually becomes unfixable, I will have the history of repairs via them. Rattles etc. a couple minor ones here and there - nothing that does not get drowned out by the radio etc. I have 3300 miles on it. and it is an early build. The dealer found one for me - once I fix the couples issues left I will stop beating myself up for not making the dealer order me one (assuming an ordered one would be trouble free)

I would buy another one tomorrow. I already own a '02 Acura and it has been nothing but perfect for us. These are my families first 2 and only 2 Acura's and we love them.

Enjoy the car when you get it. I can't guarantee it will be perfect as you have read from many owners here - I think there are bad apples in every bunch. You just hope you can work out the issues and not lose the love for the car along the way.

Good luck.

I've had my TL almost 4 months now and it's still smooth, quiet, and rattle free. The only negatives I would mention at all are:
1) A butt print now seems to be developing on the driver's seat, even with multiple conditioning sessions, and
2) I wish the sound system would crank a little higher.......highway driving with the windows open pretty much obliterates any listening.

Those are truly nit-picky items...but when everything else is very fine, the tiny things catch your eye.

IMHO, I highly recommend the TL.......I still smile every time I climb in!

It would be nice to be able to have the stereo drown out wind and road noise, but buy a cheap Radio Shack sound level meter, and measure the background noise level sometime driving 60MPH with the windows down. You will soon find that the sound pressure level required to drown out that noise is dangerous to your ears. The stereo system would have to generate sound level's over 140db to do what you want, and that would quickly damage your ears. Just my thoughts!

The car is great, chock full of features, comfy interior and priced right. Big difference in get-up-and-go between the 5AT & the 6MT. I got the 6 MT. The ONLY thing pissing me off are these lousy tires, that causes vibrations for the first 5 or 10 miles after the car has been sitting for a while.
