Keep in mind, if the kid is actually running in the 14's he's just as quick as a stock 08 Type-S 6mt (14.7 @ 101mph last I saw). We'd probably still have a higher trap speed and run him down shortly after the quarter was done but we'd probably get beat off the line. I know my porker isn't exactly the quickest out of the hole. Depending on mods, situation could swing in our favor. Now looks, the kid lost before he even left his mama's house!

I agree that it would be a driver's race but the big advantage the TL has is you would be side by side in comfort and quietness and of course stock. My philosophy is that if you have a car that has no creature comforts it better be incredibly quick to make up for it. I'm waiting for tomorrow's story lol. I have a feeling it's not going to end here.

Personally I would never make fun of someone if they didn't have the money to do things right and were somewhat humble about it. I remember when I made $6 an hour at 17yrs old and couldn't afford the correct washers to hold my CAI on. I backed out of my parking spot and the air scoop and hose fell off so I was dragging an air scoop 10' in front of my car in front of 100 people. Pretty embarrassing. But this guy sounds a bit cocky.

 

So true. I remember when 14s was respectable and was quick enough to go up against most Domestics along with a Testarossa or Countach. Now it's entry level for a V6 luxury car lol.

I totally agree. If you're gonna have a car that's a pain in the but to ride in it better be REALLY fast. Same thing applies to loud exhausts. Nothing worse than an ear splitting exhaust on a car that would get roasted by a V6 Camry.

OK, this is retarded lol, and forget that he is a kid, my younger brother owns a 04 accord coupe, red in color hid's dropped about 2inches, black stock wheels looks super clean, (gets it from his brother) lol age is no reason to ruin a damn car what a son of a biscuit!

 

It the kids defense, the subs may have quick detach connections for track use. I used to autocross my daily driver and had banana plugs so I could pull my sub box for "track/airstrip" days. Nevertheless, if you're going to go the "stripper" route, go all the way.

^^^Even "if" the he has "some" engine work done on his Integra and it is lighter, Aaron has damn near every single bolt on mod on his TL-S.

It takes less than 10 mins to remove our rear seats, glove box, spare tire and misc trunk panels. Aaron this would be sooo worth a run at the track!! Haha....maybe I'm just curious as to what numbers you're putting down with all your mods!

Agreed. "Engine work" could be a CAI lol. A "built" engine won't necessarily make more power, it just allows it to make more power reliably. I always laugh when people list a "built" engine as a mod. A built bottom end is just a supplement to the power mods.

I would put money on a bolt-on TL-S over a bolt-on or even light engine work Integra. They are neat little cars but I haven't seen a non riced out one in about 5 years.

well i'm older and more cautious. i would still take him even if he has "engine work" done. his car is a rattlebox that's barely able to pull into the parking spot each morning. plus i would not want to take him on the street, track only n i doubt he'd agree to that but we'll see.

oh...i found out he has a skunk2 exhaust and hi-flo cats!

i'd hope so. i don't have any track times but i will be doing a backtoback dyno run at the UMCP spring fest car show on 5/1...so i'm looking forward to seeing what it shows.
