New guy in AZ

Hi all,

I'm new here and am in the process of trying to find a deal on a TL here in Arizona. Anyone have any experience with any of the dealers here, what have you been paying?
Looking for 5AT/Anthracite/ebony or grey(name?) int/Navi

Thanks,
Aaron

I ended up buying at Bell Road Acura, though my salesperson has recently left. The fleet manager at Acura of Tempe was also decent to deal with. However, I didn't get a whole lot off the 04TL w/Navi, since they were pretty new when I ordered (and in short supply).

My advice:

This thread applies, since you live over 50 miles away, and would negotiate over the phone:

http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showp...10&postcount=7

Also, lower your expectations if shopping at Scottsdale Acura - they are a bunch of snotty ba$tards. I was told directly by the Sales Manager that they would only sell the 04TL to me for list price. The SM's comment was: "Why should I lower the TL with Navi for you when I can sell it for MSRP within a few days after it arrives? I would be stupid to lower the price. If you say that you have a lower price at another dealership, I would recommend you go to the other dealership."

So, I did.

I, too, have had good experiences with Beaudry Acura in Tucson. If you go, ask for Nariman . He's the guy that helped me when I was looking into the TL. Good guy, goes out of his way to make sure you're informed and happy with your buying experience. Good luck!

Bought my '05 6MT, Navi, Anthracite/Ebony at Bell for $34,270 + TTL earlier this month (wheel locks included). It's the second car I've bought from them and I was real happy with both purchases. They tried throwing a $300 paint sealant in the contract, but they didn't hesitate to remove it once I stated it wasn't part of the deal.

I've found that Tempe won't budge much off of sticker, plus they put pinstripes on all their vehicles. Scottsdale was willing to give me a comparable deal, maybe even $100-$200 less.

Good luck!

Hmm... I got my Acrua from Scottsdale and they gave me $1500 off MSRP when I bought my 04 TL several months ago. So far they have treated me very well.

The Acrua dealer on Bell got sold to a new owner the week I bought my TL from Scottsdale so I don't know what the new dealer is like. I know that some of the salesmen moved to other dealerships.

Anyhow... Scottsdale has redone my window tint because some windows has little bubbles that would not go away. They also fixed a rattle on my rear decklid all at no cost of course. So far I'm happy with the service there.

Duno why others had bad experiences there, but all I can say is go to each dealship and make them compete for your business. Find a good salesman. I beleive it all comes down to who you deal with at each dealership. I for one think that one bad apple from the tree means that all the apples on the tree are bad. Just takes bumping in to the wrong person to get a bad impression sometimes. Your buying a car, you should not feel like you have to work with the first salesman that walks up to you.

If the salesman does not give you what you want leave and come back another day, but this time choose someone else at the dealership.

I looked around for my TL locally but just couldn't find the deal I wanted. I negotiated with Beaudry for about a month, and during my final visit was willing to come up from my original offer to within few hundred dollars of what they wanted but they wouldn't budge. So i went and ordered out of state from Acura of Orange Park in Florida. The combo that I wanted wasn't available at any dealerships so my wait wasn't that much longer than if I had bought from Beaudry. I was pretty happy with my experience although there were delays from the factory.

Hi Hustle and welcome to the dry heat state. I moved here from So Cal in 99 and I still haven't gotten used to it!

My 05 AT NAV is on order at Scottsdale. I was told by someone on the inside not to do business with Bell Acura since the ownership change. However, I test drove over there and the salesman was extremely good. I was less impressed with the usual sales tactics from "sales manager" - who you have to see before you can leave, of course.

My salesman at Scottsdale Acura is very good and the GM is very likeable. My deal was about $1300 under sticker - and this is at a time when they are sold before being built, so I am so far very satisfied.

Of course, I haven't seen my car yet, so anything can happen!

Good luck,

David

BTW, I forgot to mention my car has HPT.

I paid 600 less than anything I could get in Phoenix from Beaudry in Tucson for a TL in April. Can get you the name of the salesman if you want. Very easy to deal with and it can all be done over the internet.

I also had a good experience with Chad Brockschmidt at Beaudry Acura in Tucson. He was very responsive and the dealership seems to be an honest one. No "packages", no paint sealant, no scams. Give him a call or email from their website. You'll have a good experience, if you're looking for a car in the Southwest.
