That's definitely not the same part number, but that doesn't mean it's not the same stuff. I was still able to get the GM bottles at Summit Racing (albeit I bought them locally rather than ordering from their site) like three months ago.

The part number I gave them (12377916) was an outdated part number that cross referenced to this. I got this from a local Chevy dealership.

^^That's the stuff I just bought at Summit Racing. If they cross referenced it for you then it should be the same stuff. I had heard they were changing brands/part numbers around around the time I was looking for new stuff but I was still able to find the GM stuff at Summit.

I appreciate it. After searching more, I'm convinced it's the same stuff. I had heard they changed but I wasn't expecting an AC Delco bottle!

I suppose I should have Google searched a bit before posting on here... however, I'm sure someone else will have this question and it will be useful in the search feature.

I used the ACdelco in my TL 2 months ago and it made quite a bit difference, took it about 1,000 miles to notice it, but 3rd and 4th gears feel much nicer now.

^ Good deal. It's the same stuff, just a different bottle now.

I've been using it in my car since I bought it and I've been very pleased with the results. Highly recommended.

A few months ago I bought the remaining stock of GM fluid (5 qts) from a somewhat local dealer. I asked if they could get more but when they looked it up they found the GM part number was replaced with the Delco number.

In one of the other MT fluid threads a few people said they have found the Delco label was placed over the GM label.

CLSDAVE - they replaced the part number when they changed it over to the AC Delco bottle. You can see the old and new part numbers on the bottles pictured in this thread.

3 years ago I got that AC Delco stuff, it's the GM fluid and it works. There was no GM fluid in Canada for a long time now.

The AC Delco fluid used to come in the black bottle and it just had the white label slapped on top of the GM label. Now GM only produces the AC Delco version and it comes in a white bottle.

you don't have to change it out again, it's only been a year. THis worked for me for over 3 years and it was smooth as the say I first changed it.

Same stuff. The 88900399 is the part number. AC Delco just relabels the GM bottles. Mine came in white bottles too.

Yup. Same stuff as GM's.

Replaced my fluid 2 weeks ago and haven't had my 3rd gear pop out on me ever since.

This stuff works!

The main thing i'm envious of is that its a straightforward decision process on transmission fluid for you guys...
