New to the forums...
Hey all,
I am new to the forum, as you can see from the subject, and I am currently driving an I30t and I am impatiently awaiting the day I can get my TL. I fell in love with the car in '03 when the first commercial came out with the road falling around the car as it was gliding down the road. Well anyhow, anyone have a suggestion as to what time of year, if any, would be best to buy a new TL?

I was watching a part on the news last night that discussed this. If possible purchase the car in August or September due to the model year swap. However this may not save you much since Acura doesn't produce many of these cars to begin with.
It's like buying a new computer. Is there a best time? Not really. By the time you buy your computer, a newer/better model is just around the corner... but if you keep waiting, you'll just end up waiting for the next model and then the next.
The 2007 TL should be arriving in roughly 6 months. You can wait to see what gets refreshed and buy that.. or you may not like the refresh and buy an 2006 or 2005. The disadvantage by then is that you will not have a lot of selection to choose from. You will save a few thousand, but since the TL has a good resale value, I think not by much.
So, basically, if you want one now and you like everything about it, just get one. If you're curious about the 2007 and not rushed, then wait... don't wait too long, because you might get curious about the 2008.
Honda Financing is currently having a 2.9% APR for 3 years promo. I've heard Acura usually doesn't offer that many promos.
The price of the TL also depends on your area, dealership, and the sales person you talk to. Weigh your priorities. Then buy when you're ready. Good luck!
Oh! Welcome to Acurazine!

here. When you are ready to buy I heard going at the end of the months is always a good way to get some money knocked off your deal. They are trying to make their quota for the month.

Since no inventory tax....make your purchase or at least start the negotiations towards the end of a given month (and hope they are slow and need to make sales figures). Good deals given when they are up against sales goals at the end of month.... When I got mine....I remember him saying....guy...you have GOT to close this thing today if we are gonna do it so we can get it in this month. I had been negotiating with them for about a week....maybe just over? Start out with a consumers reports new car price report (about $15 or something) which shows the actual dealer cost, holdbacks, incentives they may get back from MFG, ect. so you can figure what they bottom dollar cost is on the unit and work up from there. Then you are just talking about what their fair profit is....offer them cost and start from there.....walk once or twice....until you are satisfied with the margin figure.
And dont even talk about how you are gonna pay...if they ask...tell em u got that covered. They make money off this financing too....you can always get in on that later after you settle on a price...otherwise they try to hold the promo interest rate in their bag...just take that out of the equation for the moment.
