not sure how to put the actual photo in.

So i have a couple questions.

My right headlight is going out, and i currently have PINK EYE! im looking to get some replacements but i want some bright blue ones, do i need to get a replacment kit or just the bulb?

Second question, i would like to also make my fog lights (the lights next to the lowbeams/highbeams) i would like to make them blue as well, are they considered my foglights?

Thanks! hope to get to know you all!

Welcome to the forum

The TL uses D2S bulbs. I believe the OE ones are philips. I know you can go here:http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=148 (Philips 85122+). Are you trying to stick with the stock color temp (4300K) or go higher? You can also use the Osrams CBI's higher color temp (5000K) but comparable lumens (brightness) as the stock HIDs. Usually the higher the color temp the lower the lumens. BTW the TL has bi-xenon projectors. You have both HID low/high beam all-in-one. The foglights are inside the headlight by themselves (inner sections). For the years 07-08 the fogs were moved to the bumper and standard DRLs took their place. I'm not sure if the 04-06 had DRLs. I do know it sometimes looks weird to see a TL (04-06) with the fogs on with the HIDs. I've never seen that before. I like it now. It just you see 2 different colors in one headlight. Looks good in person to me.

I think I covered it for ya. It is 5am... I haven't been to sleep yet.

BTW nice TL!

Wow, Acura_dude covered it!
to add; the higher you go on the Kelvin scale the less visibility you have.

You just need the bulbs. TL comes standard with HIDs already and that includes stock ballast. Just get new bulbs. No converting at all. The TL doesn't use halogen bulbs for the low/high beams.

BTW Justnspace, I actually learned that HERE. I would've never guessed the 3G TL had bi-xenons. Impressive.

BTW Gianni, definitely check out our vendor section.

If you're talking about the foglights then you will need a ballast. Just order an hid kit. I'm pretty sure they're 9006 bulbs in the fogs. I wouldn't put anything higher than an 8K in it though.

New To Forum As Well

Hello everyone, I just registered for this site after reading some very helpful information. I've had an '07 TL Type-S and absolutely love it. I just hit 100,000 miles so my B124 maintenance reminder came on. I was curious if anyone has any thoughts on the "reasonable" cost for this service if I don't as a DIY. My local Acura dealer quoted me $1,850!!! which while I know this is a major service seems pretty high to me. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone know what is included to make it so expensive?

Thanks!
