New dipstick

Kind of tired of that orange plastic dipstick, I want to color match with a few other parts I’ve put in. The issue is I’ve only seen these handles put on flat dipsticks…

can I put this on the oem wire dipstick or do I have to buy a flat one and swap handles? And if I have to swap dipsticks, I’d it fine to just get one that the same length?

How does this aftermarket handle attach to a dipstick? Are those holes for screws to tighten against the metal dipstick?
The OEM dipstick is a sealed piece that cannot be seperated. If you cut it out and screw it in on the new handle your oil reading will literally be off by more than half a quart.
The OEM dipstick is precise down to literally 1mm. Its going to be extremely difficult to match that accuracy.
Also If the dipstick comes loose its going to be impossible to fish it out.

IMO just scruff the oem stick with some grey pad, use adhesion promoter and then colour match it with paint. Much cleaner, much simpler.
You can just use that same colour match for other items in the engine bay.
