TL will smoke Si in straight road but not around corners.

enjoy the crack... don't forget to share with your friends..
Please, all of you... get real. The new Civic Si would be a very fair match with a 5AT TL. Look up some timeslips on clubsi or 8thgencivic and then some times on stock 5AT TLs before you get offended by something like a lowly Civic being able to outperform the mighty TLs which you worship.
the new Si is no match for a 3G TL end of conversation. a rsx-s is faster than the new Si and that is a drivers race rsx-s vs. 3G AT TL. the new Si is the best civic ever made but still not in the same league as the tl-s or 3G TL.
I think even finding an 06 Si on the road will be a tall order. If you actually find this somewhat limited car, I highly doubt it will be in stock form.
I have never witnessed a new car have so many mods available in such a short amount of time. Less than a few months after its release, temple of vtec already had a modded version with full catback, race headers, CAI, customer reflash, and more....

As much as we drool over this, I think we all quickly remember as TL / TSX drivers that the Civic Si is still a kid's car that will be the envy of thieves eyeing all the components that can be swapped into a $.50 hatchback. I'll gladly take the luxury.

Whoa Whoa whoa. Don't be so confident. If a 2nd Gen TL-S is every bit as fast as a 3rd Gen AT TL, and a RSX-S runs step for step with a 2nd Gen TL-S (i've raced one before, and stock, it pulled a CL on me to 95, modded, it was a different story in my favor), then an RSX-S can run with a 3rd Gen AT TL. Now if a Civic Si is as fast as a RSX-S which it IS rumored to be, then it should be able to keep up with a 3rd Gen AT TL. Hope you all can follow that.
