New Car Engine Question

I have reason to believe that I went up high on the revs when the car had about 10 miles on it because the car was in sport shift mode and stayed there and It was driven to the store with a top speed of about 35 miles an hour. I was wondering what kind of revs would occur if the car is in second gear going 35. Also, Will this have a bad effect on the breakng in of the engine. Also, It the engine would be harmed what exactly would go wrong with the car. Thank you for any responses

Joe

It is highly doubtful that you did any damage and it shouldn't have any effect on the break in. I would just be more careful in the future.

Sounds like you should be ok... If you had gone too much faster then it may have been bad but 35 in 2nd gear isnt TOO bad... if the revs were redlining the whole time you would have felt and heard it so I wouldnt worry...

This is the third thread you have started on this exact same subject, except in the first thread it was your mother who did this and in this thread it was you who did this.
