New car

Just picked an 04 tl non navi with 134k for 8500. Got it from the original owner with all paperwork, oil changes, trans rebuilt at 110k new motor and trans mount and in pretty good shape for the age and condition. I was lookin at a few type s models because I prefer the look of them over the base tl and I saw this one and for the price I said yup I'll take it lol. Not really gonna mod this or anything like a lot of y'all but I do have an appointment on Friday to have the tint redone with 5% all around the back and 20% on the two front windows, and I'll be installing a system in it. And it's got an iPod hook up already, not sure which brand it is but it works so that's all I need. I'll be adding the depo type s lights and maybe the smoked side ones to complete the type s look for the most part

It also needs new tires soon so I've been reading through a lot of threads trying to decide which route to go. I don't think the factory sub works, not sure what's up with that, unless they are meant to be silent lol. Other than those few things she's good to go

welcome to the site, you can register your color here https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/tl-owners-please-chime-855960/ thnx.

The sub is working but not as strong as after market, so your goal is turn a base into a Type S? if so you are in the right forum to catch that mod bug. Are you located in Texas? Houston to be particular? from your drive way shot it remind of my brother house in Houston.

Yea I'm stationed south of Houston actually lol good observation. I'm not huge into the performance of the vehicle but I love the type s look but I found this for 10k cheaper and the guy had records of all the maintenance and oils changes since new and that sold me on it. So I ordered the type s rear tail lights, read all about the oem vs depo and what not but decided to go for the less expensive ones.

I can't tell a difference if the sub is off or all the way up, I've had stock systems before lol, but there is basically zero bass. Well a very minimal amount. To compare it so everyone knows what I'm sayin, I would put money that a corolla would have more bass lol. So I think it may be unplugged or a fuse or something maybe...not sure

Very nice! I picked mine up for the same price; less miles but also less maintenance. She looks good!

Yea it's a decent price but all of the maintenance and Rebuilt transmission still under warranty was a huge selling point for me. Also already had the type s wheels and lip so it looks decent
