Question New Car 2008 WDP T-S

Questions?

Im thinking of buying a new 2008 Type S WDP & need some second opinions. I have already a 2007 WDP w/ NAV ( only a couple of months old, Wife drives it and wont let me even breath on it.. ha ha) I got the hand me down 2004 accord V4- EX ( awesome condition +74,00miles on it as of 11.27.07 + its payed for ). Im really thinking of getting a TL. I figure that I can get a good price for my accord. I have driven her car and it is smooth. If I end up with the typ - S, will I have a harsh ride? Im 33 yrs old so im not into drag racing. I dont really want to have a car that rattles like crazy every tme I drive it becuase the ride is so firm..... Live in CA. The finacing on the 2008 seems really good right now, thats kinda why im considering it.

What kinda total out the door should I expect for a 2008 TL Type s or a regular 08 TL?
C'mon guys help a bro out with some opnions

By the way this site is great!

I am considering checking out a 2008 Infinity G35 Journey. I have seen them up close and the inetrior from the outside . The TL's interior looks of slightly higher quality to me. Again I just looked at G form the outside @ the dealer lot.

Oner idea or option was to wait 4 the 2009 TL. I spoke w/ dealer yesterday eve.... he said they should be out in may-June + could be a slightly higher price tag. Also said probaly will not be any deals on them due to it being a whole new model/ car

Get the TL-S, you won't regret it.

You may want to get a different color. If you get another WDP, your wife may take your car "by mistake"

just wait 'til the end of '08 to decide.... that's when the NEW TL might come out... then what you'll do is not let your wife even LOOK at your new '09...

Well if you are looking for luxory/sport then get the TL. If you want more power and control over your car get the TL-S. TL-S in my opinion is a different car than the TL. The feel of the TL-S is firm and in a sense feels like your stuck to the ground while driving. I like this feeling cause i feel like I have control of the car. Anyway as far as the 09 is concerned, keep in mind that it will be quite more expensive. But if thats not a problem for you then I would say go for the 09 TL.

Definitely a TL Type S! Great ride...I prefer it over the regular TL. They have great deals on it too. I remember getting my '07 Type S for $36500 out the door, fully loaded in february this year. So they are great for the price (atleast thats what i think).

I test drove a 08 Inifinity G35 Sport & 08 Acura TL type-s @ lunch

The sales women gave me the FOB to a G35 sport. I test drove with a friend in the back + the sales person. here is my oponion on what i felt and saw.
By the way she admitted that sales are very slow right now.. IE Housing bust. This dealer is in Elk grove , CA.
The Sticker was 38,XXX.00 + they have 3.9 appr right now, Acura has 4.9

Infinity G35
my rating of 1 to 5 + using my wifes 07 Acura TL w/ Nav WDP for the benchmark since I have driven that quite often.

Interior/ Cabin:
Dash board & control layout = a strong 4
Comment: Technology Features, Music Hard drive: seems like a great Idea w/ lots of potential. Not to starwars looking either. The sport shifters saty in the same orinetation, do not turn with wheel like in the Acura.
Acura: 4.5/ 5 - The cabin of the acura seemd to have a rattle that cam from the door arm rest. Not a very noticble rattle but I did notice it. G35 NONE that I heard.
makes me think that the stiffer ride on the Acura type-s might eventually lead to more rattles down the road. Im not sure since I do not own the TYPE-S

Navigation: strong 4.5, nice GUI
Comments: The graphics are nicer in the G but as far as function Im not to sure so thats why on 1st impressions I give it a 4.5 Hard drive option is way cool if your into Mp3's . means you dod not need to bring along your player everytime you drive. Just download the music and you can have thosuands of songs for your drives. makes life a little better & easier huh!
Acura: 4

Interior space: 3.
Comments: G35is not as roomy as the TL but not to small either. The sport seating in the G35 does hug your body. Again its not very small but I have 3 small kids. 1 4 yr old son of satan.. LOL & 10 yr old + 9 yr old girls. Normal size and weight all of them. They would probaly be comfortable on long journeys but 4 normal size adults would be probably kinda tight.
Lexus IS is a little circus car. Who in the heck can fit in that. That car was built for oompa lumpas! Just my rambling. The test drive was good. The G felt very solid. I could hear the engine to a small degree. It was not loud or harsh, more sporty like in a good way.
Me: Im 6'1 and athletic build. So I need space
Acura: 5

Exterior styling: 4.5
Comments: Subjective, I know but I consider my self to have a good eye since im involved in design + my opinion.
Acura: 4.5 + I really like the way the acura has a wide stance look to it. Too me the color WDP brings out the lines of the ACURA. Kind of like selma hayek in a nice sexy elegant black dress. Brings out the latina curves!

Ill post some more later, have meeting to run off too now

I'd WAIT for 09 TL

I personally wouldn't want two VERY similar (identical shape) looking cars...especially when a redesign is just around the corner

Wait for the 09...it will probably be close to 40k MSRP (my guess) but well worth the premium over discounted 08's IMO

I had an 06 NBP that handled and drives awesome and traded it in for a 08 CBP type s. The type S is an awesome car man. It's very fast and I never regretted the switch, But there is a difference in the ride with the Type S and the regular TL. Both of them is smooth and nice but the type S is a little stiff. But I love it. It will really depend on your preference. Good luck! Go for the TYPE S!

this may be nice to drive a new 09 TL design, but in my personal opinion, it is not a good idea to buy a 1st. year redesign. I like to wait a year or two first. I had a mazda rx8 and I bought it in 2004 (a first year design) and it had lots of recalls and other issues that the 06 and the 07 don't.
