I can't figure Acura out... why do they sit on their collective tuft and let mags like C&D go to press with a December issue without a full reivew of their new star car??

I, for one, would really fell better about my $35k investment after seeing a (undoubtedly qualified) glowing review in my favorite auto rag! I expect the glowing TSX review helped a few folks hand over a 30,000 high stack of washingtons to Acura.

In fact, I think I'm going to wait to buy until I read their review. Esp. since it'll undoubtedly be the stiffer 6MT.

Grrr..... It seems that Honda/Acura isn't as media-friendly and hype-y as other manufacturers. Is this an "accurate" (ha) assessment?

I wouldn't be too hard on C&D. Like you, I'm devouring everything I can read about the TL and feel disappointed if a mag is even short an ad, but I think what most of them are waiting for is a comparison view of all the vehicles in the class. I for one relish such an article as it may make my own search clearer! BTW, I used to live in Phxville before moving to sunny FL. My wife's family still lives there and we are looking forward to a Thanksgiving visit and holiday shopping at THE mall!

I would think it would be up to C&D rather than Acura as to when a full review would appear. Perhaps they are planning a comparison review instead.

As much as I definitely think the TL deserves to be matched up, I think it also deserves its own full review. I think it will get one, too. I'm just kind of surprised that with an October release, the full review will come in January's issue.

FYI - The Auto Manus have a lot more say in what's written about, and when than you'd think. C&D almost always orders direct from the manu (not from a dealer.. like CR does), and typically gets stuff prior to you and me so they can time their reviews with releases.

I would expect the full test drives to occur with the January issue rather than the December issue of C&D.

Evrything I have read so far has been on the 6 speed manual. I want to to see something on the 5 auto since that's what I have.
