New Baby Coming Home Tomorrow!

I finally pulled the trigger! After drooling over this car for close to a year, I put down a deposit on an Anthracite/Ebony/Navi/5AT on Saturday. I pick her up tomorrow!

Thanks to everyone here for sharing your experiences with the 3rd gen. TL.

Now I can finally post as an owner instead of just a wanna-be...well, at least after tomorrow.

Congrats!

I just picked mine up on Friday after months of reading this forum. I walked into the dealership knowing everything I needed to know to make my decision and walked out satisfied.

Now I look forward to offering assistance to others where I can.

Enjoy your car!

Thanks, leeherman. I test drove a NBP/Quartz this weekend. First time I'd seen Quartz in person...very nice. It was hard to decide between that and Ebony. I'm sure it's killer with ABP.

Enjoy yours, too. But then, how could you not?

Contratulations!! Denise and I also pick ours up tomorrow at 10 am - to say I am quite anxious would be an understatement. My only concern is whether or not Denise will get used to the tighter suspension - she is so used to the '97 Camry we're trading-in. Hopefully, she'll adapt - we're both 58 and her arthritus has gotten worse through the years. I appreciate the compiant ride - she frowns

Congrats. I picked mine up two weekends ago, waited 2 1/2 months for it to be ordered. Absolutly love the car.

I replaced my 1993 Toyota Camry V6 XLE with the TL, and I also currently own a 1999 Toyota Solara SLE V6 (Camry based). My father currently drives a 2001 Camry LE 4 cylinder.

The ride is definitely firmer in the TL than the '93 and 2001, but it's compliant enough to be comfortable. My Solara has the "sport suspension", and the ride in the TL is as good or better with better handling too.

Hopefully the Mrs. will be comfortable in the TL. I don't think she'll have any problems with the firmer ride.

Good luck!

I think that the TL seats are more supportive and adjustable than your trade in was. That plus they are heated and might help her back. BTW, I'm 58 also and love the 6 speed. Go figure.

It was very lucky. The car just came in on Friday. When I saw it Saturday afternoon it still had all the tape and plastic on it.
