New 3rd Gen Owner

I gave in and purchased my first TL last month. I live in the country and have always driven lifted trucks and jeeps. I've always had something for TL's. I purchased an 06 tl, 6 speed, navigation. Only had 55,000 miles on it when I bought it. Its bone stock other than Lexus inspired led headlights and led interior lights. Like I said, I've always driven lifted trucks so I'm still learning some things about the tl. I know I want the apec kit with fog lights and I've already looked into ordering fully adjustable coilovers because I love the look of a lowered tl. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Thanks guys.

Its silver. Wasn't really my first choice but it only had 55,000 original miles and is in immaculate condition so I couldn't help myself.

Right now I'm kinda stuck on exterior mods, but I'm definitely going to look into performance mods also. There's so many things that I want to do I just dont know where to start. Lol

Congrats! A big difference between a raised truck and lowered TL. Enjoy. Register her at www.myacura.com. You can save your radio and navi codes there for safe keeping.

Kyle...just search google and include "acurazine" in the search and you will most likely find every question answered and then some.

Welcome!

I still haven't an old beater that I drive for hunting season to get out in the woods. But I've like tl's ever since 04 when the 3rd gen came out. I always said I wanted one and this one showed up on craigslist and i jumped on it.

Is it a waste of time to try to find an aspec kit in silver? I know it is harder and harder to find because they are discontinued. Especially a silver kit.

Chances are you'll have to buy another color and have it painted.

Also, lexus inspired led headlights..? Explain or pics please

The guy I bought the car from had the headlights taken out by a shop in D.C. and they somehow inserted led lights around the bottom all the way up the side of the headlight. When you look at it it looks like an led strip but the are individual tiny lights. The guy owned two lexus' and wanted the headlights in the tl to look like the ones in the lexus.

Sign up for photobucket. Upload the pics to photobucket. Copy and paste the IMG code and you should be good to go. No need to wait.

Not necessarily a waste. I found my front lip and sides at a local dealership in silver. Then had AckTL send the rear in silver as well

and welcome to the forum

Thanks for the help! And I'm not giving up the search. I would consider a good used kit but I'm not gonna rush it. Just gonna wait and see what I can find.
