quick question.. My friend is considering 2004+ Tl's.. Any recommendations or recalls?

 

nothing too major imo but 2 recalls in the '04s and some '05s - power steering hose and wiper motor. if i recall correctly, neither have failed in a car but they had the 'chance' of failing, but if you are buying from a dealership it should already be fixed.

 

Thanks imj0257. Another question, i was told that 2004 tl's have transmission problem.. is this true? i had 2001 cls and i would hate to see my friend suffer..

 

ah yes, the "transmission" issue. ya i've heard that too that some '04 TL's have had that problem. All I know is that mine has 50k miles and runs perfect and so will probably all others here with an '04 so maybe its just the bad luck of the draw
