Need some convincing.

I finally found someone with an ASPEC kit in CBP for sale.

My wife and I have been discussing getting it and I'm on the fence. We could use the money for 529 Ed fund, family trip, or maybe even sometime in Vegas.

So I figure I'll get some advice from AZ. Is getting the base ASPEC underbody kit worth it, especially if I'm not planning on dropping it or putting on new rims. No drops just because I have to go over so many damn driveways and speedbumps getting from my son's preschool to work. And while I'd like some Type S or Sparkle Silver rims, I can't afford another $1,000+ for them.

So is a base TL with ASPEC kit worth $800?

Aspec already improve the look, you don't need to drop or new wheels. It's worth getting one IMO. Sorry I don't have family yet so I can't give opinion about which one should you choose.

Fam > kit. Anyway, can't you get a brand new A-Spec kit for cheaper?

Magnod, the Aspec Kit is a game changer for the Base TL. In your situation, just get the front lip and then spend the rest of your money on the family!

Thanks for the insight.

To clarify, getting or not getting the kit wouldn't affect the family time or quality. We're not in that bad of a shape or anything. Its more like trying to decide what to do with a small windfall of money.

BTW: I could also cancel my extended warranty and save 1k. But that would only go to the financing department.

I've been looking around. AckTl and others no longer carry the sides for the CBP kit. Rob Lacher has it for around $780 or so. Local dealership wants $2100 for it installed

^^ Good for you-try to get the front spoiler-it's the Game Breaker.

Thanks. That idea did cross my mind.

Last week the money was close to being turned into a new Callaway driver and matching 3 & 5 wood...

Well that's good if you are in a financial meltdown, getting the aspec should be the last thing you do.

I do alot of driving mostly on the interstates and always stare at other TL's when I see them. Recently seen one with the A-spec kit driving the opposite way and it stood out instantly. It really is a great looking kit that makes you say "I want that kit" when you see it.

I keep trying to see one on the street, but their not that common out here in Hawaii. The dealership has a used 08 with the kit, but that's about the only one I've seen in person.

Do any of the other AZ members in Hawaii have the kit? Perhaps you can get up with them and check it out.
