Need some advice asap

Well tomorrow im going to MOD my NBP Type-S 08 with some headlights modded bu JnC.

So I called Acura to ask how can I install this mod without voiding the warranty. So the manager on warranties tells me that If I add a cable or touch any cable of the car my warranty is voided because the car are manufactured to certain parameters and any cable added ot touched is goind to void my warranty on the WHOLE electrical system of my car. Because the source is the same and any sudden change of voltage can burn any electrical part of the car.

So in other way I have to put a small battery and do this entirely independent from any cables in the car.

I think this is pure bullshit because i was going to do it on an entirely independent circuit but take current from the battery. Give me some input please.

you won't void the warranty of the car unless the thing you did caused the problem. For example if you install the lights and your seat stops working and they don't have a common connection, the dealer can't say that you caused it.

This link might help. Its lengthy and in lawyer jargon but it should help. It the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. Dealers are good at lying about this stuff because most people don't know about this Act. Enjoy the reading.
