Need Opinions!

Hey Guys, I was thinking about getting a versus lip... like ACCURATEin - but for a NBP.

OR

Should I save the money and get an ASPEC lip/kit?

Here is a pic of the versus:

I'm worried that with the versus my TL would look too ricey... ACCURATEin did a great job with his car so that it dosen't look ricey, but Idk what mine would look like.

It actually doesn't look bad. Do it if you like it. At least it's a different look.

not a big fan of the versus lip. and it would probably cause a problem when trying to park.

I don't like the versus lip. Accuratein makes it look ok becuz of ALL the things he has done to the front. But you don't wanna wild out like that, so just get the A-spec...it looks bangin' on the NBP...I oughtta know becuz I'm wearing one well right about now! Hahaahaha...

I'm not a big fan of the versus kit. I think it makes the TL look like a honda accord or civic or something. Of course if you like it go for it. Let me simply warn you that any after market body kit is not going to be made to the same standards as a genuine Acura part and will most likely not fit as good as an OEM Acura part like the A-Spec Kit will. You will probably also have a color matching issue with the versus kit. I have the Ron Jon Kit and let me tell you it has been a huge pain in the A$$ finding a body shop that could do the work correctly and even then I have to get the whole kit repainted because it looks like I have a two tone paint job and they did not sand down a couple spots correctly and thats after spending over $3500. I love my RJ kit but if I had to do it all over again I would prob just get the A-Spec kit. Good Luck!

The versus kit looks nice....but your gonna need a whole body kit....if you want something simple and aggressive, go with the Aspec front lip, easy install, already painted, looks great on the car....the only thing im not diggin is the new TL-S lip....i think that one is hidious...

Yeah man, reading Conan's posts from before, seems like he had a hell of a time getting everything to work and a shit load of money! But honestly I think the versus bumper looks hot! Atleast you will know no other TL besides Accuratein's and a few others will be like yours! ASpec is going to be alot cheaper(Seen them on ebay for $265). Getting the versus bumper painted is also an obstacle. Hard choice, it really all depends on your budget and taste, good luck with your decision and you better get pics after the install

I would've said get the Versus bumper, but you've already made your decision.

i think i could make it look sexy... the versus kit... blacked out... rims windows, etc... almost like the bat mobile LMAO but then it loses the TL look... and like pointed out earlier, it might not fit right... idk... im up in the air... i really like the aspec... but i wanna be a little diff... but not UGLY diff...

That's what I was thinking...it would look really good on NBP. Quit listening to the doubters and do it. If you don't like it, sell it...someone will buy it. And darksom's exaggerating a bit...all you need is a mattress

trust me on this....majority wins on this site....you should have seen my NBP aspec lip on my WDP post....was told not to do it...did it...and then traded the lip for the wdp....alot of people on here know taste....and the aspec lip is def. a better investment financialy, comes with factory warranty on the lip, pre painted, and fits right if you know how to install it....as for aftermarket....you have to color match, fit it, and you get no warranty....its on you like most people have said though....

Well, consider that if you do buy the versus, if you try to sell it, you are NOT going to get what you paid for it. Saying that because you don't know if you will like it. But if you buy the a-spec, you already know that's what's up! Don't take the being diff thing overboard pimpin', get the guaranteed good looks in the A-spec - complete with warranty! Once you spend the money...it's gone...you said you have other moves to make (furniture, and yeah chill_dog you right man - but a boxspring too for support, ya feel me?). So make the right move with the dough!

They always came with those when I bought them ...but the support definitely helps

By the way, it was mentioned you won't get what you paid for the Versus bumper if you sell it...you won't get what you paid for the ASPEC lip, either. But if you bought both and sold both, you'd be out more with the bumper than the lip.

Actually, the main thing about the bumper is that he doesn't know if he would like that after a while. No such thing with the A-spec, because while he may not have it, he has surely seen others riding around and on the forum enough to make a go at it and feel confident about it. Kind of a can't miss thing. But yeah, no mods have a + turnover. But at least there is a known market for the A-spec. Besides, once he gets it, he probably would love it. I do! Big time. Ack looks naked and humble without it IMO!

Good point. And yes, the TL doesn't look right without it.
