So most of you who've been on here a bit already know that I've been having a horrible time trying to get my inspections done.

Finally, after almost 5 months, i have 6/7 monitors ready, the last one that's not ready is the cat, and my mechanic says i can't pass inspections unless all 7 are ready.........

first, i thought we're allowed to have 1, not ready...?? he said they all have to pass???

second, before everyone jumps up and down about how my guy us screwin with me, he DID give me an alternate solution where i pull the inspections sticker from my ML and use that on the TL until i have to update my plates......so i mean it's not like he's just saying flat out...."pay X sum to get this problem fixed"

so.....what am i missing here???? I've passed inspections in the state of missouri fine for the past 3 years.....what makes it different this time (unless NY is harder to pass)

but then that makes me wonder....how does that even make sense? it's not like i'm running the pre-cat deletes......and my setup, i'd imagine at LEAST 50+ cars in NY are running around in the same setup.....

so i'm trying to figure out.....is the mechanic just really really strict? were there new rules? or am i missing something bigger here?

 

I'd say give a new mechanic a shot. I can recomend one if you want. PM me.
