Need a little help...

Recently I started with a company that provided me with a company car and I am thinking of selling my TL to save for a Type-S. My car is a 2004 5AT base with Navi and of course all the options that came with that package. The car has 172,321 on the clock and Runs as strong as ever, it is in very nice condition, not excellent . The exterior has a ding and few minor scratches. The interior has no problems or even wear marks to speak of. Everything with the car is as it should be. At 140k it had the Timing Belt/Water pump service and plugs, at 160, new rotors and pads.

I'm sorry that I only have this one picture, but I'm looking for some ideas on what to ask. BTW, HFPC's, Jpipe, and Catback will come off and she'll be put to stock.

Thanks

Please don't ask for part prices for he's not posting in here to sell parts. You can PM him for that. And I'd probably ask around 11k-12.5k if everything you describe is true concerning the interior.

Thanks for the reply. I'm keeping the exhaust components to put on the Type-S I am suprised to see 11k+! I was thinking with the mileage more like 8k. But yeah interior is mint and like I said overall the car is in Very Nice shape.
Thanks again!

You can ask for 11k, but it's more realistic that you'll get around 8-9k. I personally wouldn't pay more than 7.5-8k due to the mileage...even if Acura's/Honda's last for a long time. GL with your decision. I have a company car too and only drive the TL on the weekends. I would personally keep the car and add an A-Spec lip kit. you'll feel like you have a new car...lol

I assume that you do not owe anything on the car. I would sell it if you are not going to drive it a lot with the company car. I think you will get about $8500-$9000 for it.

I agree with RaviNJCLs and it's probably going to take an Acura / Honda fan to appreciate what they are getting / paying for.

Thanks 8-9 is what I thought. I don't think I would ask 11k even if it were perfect. Yeah, an A-spec kit would look nice, but I'm hoping to get a Type-S and make it a project car.

May start at 9k and see what happens. No I don't owe on it. Between my wifes car and my three we have too many cars so, as much as it pains me to sell it, I can only hope I'm doing the right thing.

Would be a very nice car for a new driver - especially seeing how safe they are.

Good luck with your sale. You may want to post it up in the Black Market section.

Thanks! I'm still having a tough time with the decision to sell or not. The car runs so strong and it's paid for so I can't make up my mind. The big push for me to sell is to do a project car (Type-S 6MT), but right now it's tight for space at home with 4 cars.

So I'm in a bit of a tough spot. I have a family friend who needs a car and REALLY wants to buy my car. She can only afford $7500.00. What to do?

^thats your call.

if you sell it to some one else, how realistically do you think you can get 9k for it?

Tell her you were looking for and believe you can get more. Take the $7500 and possibly work out payments for a little while??

Yeah, I think the deal fell through with her. I'm still not sure that I want to sell. I feel like an indecisive chick, lol.

buy type-s and keep the TL for winter beater?
just kidding.. you should weight out the positives and negatives of selling it and buying a Type-S.. any money you get from this could be for the Type-S or...MODS!!

If I didn't have an old Volvo 940T and a company vehicle I'd keep the TL. I still might keep it, but never drive it the winter. I know most people will think I'm crazy but I hate FWD in the winter. I prefer RWD in the snow
