Pictures to come soon but I got in to a collision in my 08 TL and the front end drivers side got smashed in pretty bad and i took it to a garage and they said the frame is bent dont know where to go to get it fixed or even if i should. I had basically a new engine put into the car wondering if any one knows where i can find a 08 TL with a blown engine for cheap or where i can sell this car for the best price. please help i live in queens new york. btw insurance isnt going to cover it.

if the subframe is bent, most likely other components are bent as well.

I recently got into a 1 vehicle accident with a curb.
I did a total of $11k in damages.


luckily, i had full coverage and only paid $500.

What new engine did you have put into the car?

How did you crash it? Your fault obviously? Racing?

 

Lapse in judgment happens, but glad you're safe and sound. I'd like to know why insurance isn't covering it unless you just have liability coverage.

 

1. Go to the 3G TL forum; better to post there...
2. Check the Black Market section (you need to be a member for several days, IIRC) for engines
3. Check the "Regions" threads for NY-related info.

you could try listing it on ebay... if you only have liability, and that is why your insurance isn't covering it, more than likely you still have a clean title? someone on ebay may be willing to pick this up and fix it themselves.. especially if the engine is new...

Then, he got a lot of responses, but either a) didn't care to look back or b) looked back and doesn't care to contribute, because he just wants to see what people will say.

Fix it and sell it, if it moves. Bumper cover, headlights grill, ect...hey life ain't fair.

I know right? Had too many threads opened at one time and were posting in them all. Mixed a couple up. Definitely didn't mean to offend the OP. Went back and seen I posted "nice pickup" and was like wth...... when did I post this?

 

if you go to wrecked TL's original thread....he gives an update with picking up an 08 TL to replace the one he crashed. this happened to be this week IIRC. he said he would post pics...surprise surprise we're all still waiting.

wrecked TL posts he crashed an 04...the pictures are no longer being hosted from the original thread. then user joe freitas posts responses on the same thread assuming he's the same person. joe freitas (user account apprently has been deleted by the mods) starts another thread asking something on a car that sounds an awful lot like the one wrecked TL crashed (one in the same person).

wrecked TL comes back and updates his original thread and says he picked up an 08 TL with navi on 2/12 and 2/13 said he was picking it up. he was going to post pics but has not come back since.

now we have this thread started on 2/15 with another "unique user name", with claims of a crashed 08 TL with pending pics and no sign of the OP.

i wanna give benefit of the doubt and say it's a different guy....but something tells me otherwise.

 

Its all a conspiracy I tell ya. All these wrecked TL usernames, these wrecked TL's piling up in junk yards... Someone is after us and messing with us on here as they do it.
