need help tranny fluid
need help tranny fluid
i cant find where the fill plug is for a 2004 acura tl for the tranny any have any pictures of can tell me wehre it is and what the description of what the bolt looks like? i see bolt but it looks like it needs a socket wrentch insert, but im not sure..

it depends if you have the external oil jet kit installed- what you will see
- that was the recall install part that goes on top of the transmission
check if you had that done if it was needed- went from 99 thru some 04s

Later trans have a large headed bolt with ATF stamped on it for the fill plug- on top of trans
Are you changing the fluid or is it leaking- low.???
The drain plug is underneath the trans at the rear part - a regular ratchet fits in the square cut into it, it says ATF above it too.
the engine oil says OIL above its drain ~ what a smart car!!!
