Need help making a decision
Need help making a decision
ok fellas i need some advice. A while back I damaged by poor TL by hitting the curb head on pretty hard during bad weather; nvm how I hit it its a long sad story. The left front rim was slightly damaged as in its slightly flattened and is no longer a full circle. But its real subtle and I have been riding on it for like 3 weeks; i know that this is bad and that it can lead to premature tire wear and excess vibrations; but like i said its hardly noticiable.
Anyways my mechanic's body shop inspected the damage and he said bents parts out of line included the lower and upper control arms along with the struts. So the price for the replacement of all three parts is about 800 bucks.
During all this work, I want to add some mods. Should I invest in aspec suspension which is about 675 not including labor; or invest in some cheapy rims (which will solve the slight problem with left front rim) for about 600 bucks too? I am kind of on a limited budget as in I dont want to spend more than a grand. If I get the rims, i will also have to get four new tires also which will easily push the price over a 1000. Or should I get the suspension and temporarily ride on my oem rims, and invest on better rims at a latter date?

What you last said: get the suspension and wait on the rims. I assure you, you don't want a set of rims that cost $600 on your car. If you're looking at ASPEC, you might want to look at getting it and the CT RSB...both shipped are $750 (any of the Acura dealers on eBay - Escondido, Falconi, Curry). This will also leave a few bucks in your pocket. If you insist on spending all $1k, get a CAI, too.
