Keep it. I'm a student too...trust me, if you want the car enough, you'll find ways to make ends meet. I have a long commute every day and I never think about getting something more economical because I'd rather cut down on other things and keep the car. I already get 26 mpg or so on the combined cycle...how much better would I possibly do and still be able to enjoy my commute?

You've probably maintained your car well, so you know what's wrong and what isn't. If you purchase another used car, I'm sure it will take a big chunk of that $5 savings in maintenance and repairs.

I also read somewhere that newer oxygen sensors will help your efficiency, depending on mileage. I have about 126k now and will be changing them soon.

If you know for sure you're going to save money at the end of the day, then by all means start looking around. College is expensive enough without having to worry about owning and maintaining a nice car. At your age, the money might be more appreciated somewhere else. And there's always going to be time to own a nice car after graduation, right?

If you're going for the hatchback scene, might wanna check out a 1G Mazda3 as well, or a 5 door Protege in good condition. Civics too, but they're getting stolen left right and centre.

Hey guys, I've decided to keep my TL, just because I can still afford the expenses at this point as long as gas doesnt reach 10 bucks/gal. I just did part of my tune up today like spark plugs, oil, air/cabin filter. Next week i'll be working on my belt, pumps, seals and the rest.
BIG DIFFERENCE after I installed new plugs, the car idles and drive a lot better. Its like falling in love with it all over again hahaha

What mileage are you at and what kind of plugs? I felt almost no difference when I put in my new plugs

I'm at 98k right now and i just use the factory Acura ones, NGK i think. But because my old ones were old and there were burned marks around the housing of it. My car stops vibrating and responses faster too.

If that becomes the case, the CIA will hire a hitman to kill Ghadaffi if they haven't already... the situation in Libya is a big (main) catalyst for the high prices... Analysts do not like unrest and the liability inevitably becomes the higher prices and our pocketbook...
