Need advice on this '05 TL

I finally hit the states from Japan and in a couple of weeks I will be in San Diego.
I'm looking at a few TL's and a few of them caught my eye.
'06 TL, BLK with Navi
1 owner. New transmission. New battery. Major service done within last 6
127K for just under 11K?

I haven't emailed the seller yet cuz I don't know if it's worth my time to drive an hour and a half just to see the car.

What are your thoughts on this car if the trani has been changed as well as the timing belt and water pump?

I have about four more that I'm looking at, (x3) '05 and

a '06 that is also blk with Navi but with 135K at $9500

I have already emailed on asking about the trani, timing belt/wtr pmp, if the car has been in an accident, cracking on the dash board..
Whatelse should I be asking for?
I've only purchased a used car once in the states and that was back in '96. All my other cars I purchased in Japan and never had to worry about lemons..

Shyt while I'm asking, what's a good auto insurance for cali. I'm like a foreigner in my own country

Two big things I would be concerned about is the transmission and dash. Iv'e had my dash crack at around 100,000 miles and it got worse until I finally convinced Acura to replace it for free. The transmissions are usually hit or miss, my car has been driven hard throughout its life and transmission still seems great. The members here that have had transmission problems sometimes have the same problem with their new transmissions after awhile.

Ty, welcome to AcuraZine. Be sure to check if it's had the 105,000 mile service done.

might be the wrong way of thinking about it.

these werent the 2nd gen trannies, where it failed over and over again.

these are improved.
since, its been replaced, you're starting BRAND NEW.
if you keep the maintenance up on this brand new* tranny, you wont have problems.

*brand new is deceiving.
its probably a remanu tranny.
but if you keep it in great shape, it'll treat you great

Well, if you are interested in an 04 Silver TL with Nav I am probably looking to sell it sometime soon. I'm in northern California which is a negative but on the plus side my car only has 19k miles on it.
