NBP touch up paint

have any of you used the touchup paint? specifically the nighthawk black pearl. i have a tiny white speck on my doorpanel which appears to be a chip from a rock or something. its very minor but i imagine a little dot of touch up paint could make it all but invisible? is this something i should take on myself, or would it be better to find a pro?

any help is appreciated

Just head over to your local Acura dealer, they should hook you up with a bottle at a price. The touch up paint will help the make the "chip" harder to find, but its all right if it a little paint. Since u metioned u have a "dot" to fill in, u should try it out....... U should be able to do it yourself, unless u want a flawless job.......

its $6 at any local acura dealer, if the sun hits it. it reflects. will not look exactly like new.

is touch up paint the best way to deal with this? i gotta post a picture so its easier to see what i'm dealing with. maybe its something that could be mostly buffed out by a detail shop? the speck is really about the size of the point of a fine sharpee.

i agree with the sun reflecting on it. it has done this to me in the past with previous cars.

If its a chip just go for it ... clean it really well with rubbing alcohol and a cuetip, shake the touch up paint really well, and use a fine modeler's brush or a toothpick and just "dot" a little in. If you do it right it should take 3 or 4 times to fill in completely. Do not use the brush that comes in the bottle it is way too big to do this neatly.
