about to become a new owner, trying to make a decision on the nav unit...
will the Acura unit give a lat/long position (like my Garmin 2160)???

this would be very helpful in the kind of work i do. i was at the dealer today for a test drive and we couldn't find anything in the nav unit that would allow this to be displayed...

if i can't pull a lat/long i'll need to continue using the Garmin and save the $2k+.

yes it will give you lat/long position

 

i think you can click on menu and current location and it will give you that info... OR you can hold MAP/MENU/CANCEL all together and the diag screen will come up and you can get that info in there

 

On the Navi screen, just touch the circle with the arrow indicating your vehicle. That will bring up a location window indicating your current location info - address, lat/long, elevation, etc.

 

too easy. about the only thing i didn't try!

now, di i take the anthracite/quartz that's incoming (<2weeks) or di i wait another 6+ weeks to get one w/ nav (and hope they don't sell it to another buyer that's willing to pay more)????

Get the navi bro! For others it has already been a $10,000 mistake (at least two other folks have bought a 04 TL to find out they foregot to get navi or the 6MT) let their mistake count for something.
