Question Navi: Time & Date of previous destinations?

One fellow, buried way back in previous posts, said that he nailed a couple of valet parking employees who drove his car around town during two days he was in a conference. He did this partially because they were silly enough to enter their destinations into the Navi, and he showed their manager the date and timestamp on each destination.

I had no idea the Navi system timestamped the destination.

How do you get this info to display? I went crashing around the Menu screen and couldn't find it.

if you go to menu you should see a section that says previous destinations. i dunno if it timestamps it but that is where it should be located. there will be a list of locations and choose one to fine out more information about it.

Yah, I found that. You can view the address, and choose it as a current destination. There's no timestamp there that I can see.

I am not going down to the car tonight so I will confirm this tomorrow but when you go to previous destinations I believe there are headings showing destinations and dates and then the individual destinations are below. In other words I think it does some date stamping but not time stamping.

You can also delete any or all of those previous destinations.

Geez, my car shows nothing like that, just a list of the destinations.

Just because there where new address in the Navi, doesn't mean the vallet drove it anywhere... They could have just been playing with the system while it was parked... all you have to do is enter an address/location and let it plot the directions for it to store it in memory, you don't have to drive anywhere... the only way you can tell if a vallet drove your car anywhere would be to check your milage, not your Navi...

You are right. The Navi doesn't tell you if you actually went anywhere. I checked my "previous destinations" this morning. What I think happens if that if you put a destination in the "todays destination" folder the date and number of destinations comes up on the previous destinations screen. I believe that the destinations just below this entry are the destinations for that day. However, as was pointed out by PhiPsiTony that doesn't mean the car went anywhere.

Yes, the original poster said that because the conference was a business trip, he was keeping track of milage. That's how he was able to correlate the datestamps in the Navi with the extra milage shown on the odometer.

Now that's one thing I didn't try...putting destinations into "Today's Destinations" and then checking "Previous Destinations". I can see how those might be datestamped.

Thanks, guys!
