Question Navi Coverage

Does anyone know where I can get information on map coverage for the Acura Navigation System? I have a TL on order with the Navi package but I am having second (or twenty second) thoughts about it. If there is no coverage on Vancouver Island I can't justify... (read rationalize) the extra $$$. I received the brochure today and it says to go to acura.ca for coverage info but there is nothing there or the U.S. site.
Anyone>?

It is not a cell phone. Done by sattelite and I believe coverage is teh 48 states. Might not just have newer rods or some real real rural areas w w/ dirt roads. I may be wrong, but that is what I think

I have found that the system does show some roads as "not digitized" but does show them on the map and the car driving on it here in the states.

Didn't quite understand your answer. The sattelite only pinpoints the position of the car. The DVD contains all the data on the roads and points of interest. If Vancouver is not on the DVD, then the owner won't have coverage in that area...i.e. the sattelite will still know where the car is but won't have any info to direct him anywhere.

I am in Toronto and tested the navi before I bought it. Every Canadian address I tried worked including atm's restaurants, gas stations. Why no just ask your local dealer to find out?

I tried it at the dealership and the Navi does't cover my area. The dealer says that it will soon but can't tell me when. I am trying to figure out who knows when maps in my area will be digitized. If it's next years I'll get Nav, if it's not I will probably change my order to a non-Nav. Anyway, I'll keep digging. If anyone has any leads it would be appreciated.
